I have completed 99% of Shadow of Mordor.
This one quest still eludes me, because (no matter how many I make)
the game/quest never credits me for Fire Arrow kills I've made.
Tried again. I get credit for the bonus objective. I still don't get credit for legitimate Fire Arrow kills of Uruk.
I guess the fact no one is responding with a workable solution means no one knows what's wrong with this quest.
So...what do you understand the "correct" button to be for the PC version ?
After weeks and weeks of effort...
After countless hours spent trying to complete this quest...
After a great many well meaning yet vague suggestions...
I finally figured this out.
Now, I can explicitly tell you all what simply needs to be done
to accomplish the main objective of the Spirit of Fire quest.
1) charge your hit streak.
2) press only the right mouse button while aiming at an Uruk.
3) While still pressing only the right mouse button / aiming, press the number " 6 "
on your keyboard to shoot the required "Fire Arrow".
4) Repeat steps 1-3 to get your five "Fire Arrow" kills and complete the quest.
This was not obvious, as I was accustomed to options of this sort normally appearing in the lower right corner of the screen. Accordingly, in the heat of battle, I never noticed the phrase "Fire Arrow" appearing next to the number 6 in the lower right corner of the screen once my hit streak was charged.
P.S.
The above instructions are specific to the PC version of the game.
This worked with the default LCTRL for me (PC). But it was confusing at first as I assumed you had to press LCTRL to switch to the arrow, then charge your shot as normal to shoot the fire arrow. This isn't the case, while you're aiming, LCTRL actually immediately shoots a fire arrow. So the procedure for me was:
1. charge your hit streak
2. hold right mouse button to start aiming
3. move mouse to aim at target
4. press LCTRL
