The game supports Steam Cloud saves synchronisation which is enabled by default.
There's also some WBPlay functionality ingame but I am not aware if it does back up the saves.

Unless you disabled Steam Cloud yourself, you shouldn't lose any progress after reinstalling.

The save file is located under "<Steam-folder>/userdata/<user-id>/241930/remote/gamedata.sav". If you feel extra paranoidal, you can back it up manually by copying the file somewhere safe and then reinstating it back into that gamesave directory after you reinstall.

Yes but everything in your Garison will remain. There is a way to save your save file though. Check google or youtube and you should be able to find it.

Just back up your save to a document folder on a drive and drop it back in later 👍

Doesn't the Cloud Sync work?

Steam Cloud is enabled for this game, but the feature tends to be iffy about working well.
You can delete the game and the save game will remain.
