Couple of newbie questions, SOLVED thanks

Just started playing this....enjoying it so far...reminds me of Witcher 3; at least the fighty bits do. Loving the atmosphere and story...lovely. I already know that it'll take a little getting used to re all the diffferent moves my character can make. For sure, I am going to spend a bit of time checking out the guides...need some guidance re upgrades, abilities, etc. For now can anybody answer me these questions, ta:-

1. I killed a mini boss or captain. He was not a main target; I just bunped into him. After the kill, an etheral blade appeared at the spot. Am I supposed to interact with this blade; if so how?

2.I know it was explained..but...how do I interogate folk?

3.How do I save in-game?

4. How do I interact with objects (pick flowers; read stuff; pick stuff up; etc.)?

1. Yes. Basic keybinds have you press Ctrl to pick it up.

2. Grab an orc by holding Ctrl next to them and press Space

3. Don't worry about saving. The game saves automatically and often when you leave the game, and when you die, you just spawn back in the world, rather than loading back a save.

Nice one, thanks. When I respawn, do I have to return to that place where I killed the orc boss to get the bonus or does dying reset the 'board'.?

The things they drop will remain there until you pick them up. Dying progresses time, so captains get promoted, orc conflict missions will resolve themselves, day turns to night, and the orc who kills you becomes more powerful. Or, if you are killed by a grunt, they become a captain.

You can actually destroy epic runes. But you do get one of each. And I prefer to stay away from Storm of Urfael because it makes the game too easy.

So...the big question is...how do you start a new game? Am I missing something; I just can't find an option other than to continue with my first character.

You can just use the other save file.

The promotional epic runes can't be destroyed, ones you get off of dead orcs can.

Got that right, but for some reason they allow you to destroy the 2 unique runes you gain early in the story, never to be seen again >_<
