Is this normal for Captains to spawn out of nowhere?

Is it normal for captains to come out of nowhere? Is it normal that they're accompanied by two other captains? Is it normal for the first captain that shows up out of nowhere be an elite captain and the same one every time?

This is the problem I'm running into. I'm walking my merry way, and an elite captain will pop up outta nowhere. Sometimes it'll be the same one, sometimes not. Sometimes he'll be accompanied by two other captains, annnd sometimes not.

Please tell me this is some sort of bug, because its not really fun getting killed by the same guys, even AFTER I do a sweep of an area to MAKE sure that there are no captains around.

Yeah it’s normal. He’s your nemesis now, and he’ll find you from time to time. Once you kill him, get ready for a chance of him coming back (unless you decapitate or brand him) and prepare to fight him once more in the end of the campaign. I would suggest using wraith punch/jumping over him, it builds up combos nicely a does some serious damage.

But like, he’s comes from nowhere. I scanned the area and found no signs of life, and then turn around, and he’s there. That can’t be normal.

Practice your fighting. complete the challenges to improve your skill. Get a few points on your level and items. Pretty soon you will find 1 captain will falll very easy..even elite..

I had unlucky battles where I have been going after a target and I pick up 3-5 more captains chasing me as I am doing it which all ends in 1 big slaughter fest. Yoou can even win these fights with a completely unleveled character if you play it smart. What I did at early levels before getting some serious combat skills was to lure them all to a wraith tower which was the captains and the squads that the captains had.....go up the tower and jump down for a stealth kill...climb back up fast..go out of sight for a sec..then repeat...soon yoour left with only the captains which may also be vunerable to a stealth kill...otherwise jump down...engage 1...kill..then get back up the tower if needed and regen a little hp back if your dangerously low.

Its just practice and tactics to make any situation winnable...

What i hate is when you brand 50 orks then u turn around their gone and 20-30 more unbranded keep responing in the same place. Never ends.

Yes, its normal for this game to spawn enemies out of nowhere. I killed a general just earlier, in the middle of a wide open area (that river bed I believe), and there was no one else around. I turn around, and there's a dozen orcs standing behind me just out of camera range. And I have seen generals teleport right infront of me. One was scared by something and was running around. After a bit I got the message that he had 'escaped' or w/e, but turned to his base which was right next to me to see him in there, all calm.

And as of late I've found myself being harrassed by random generals while I'm trying to do quests. Its getting quite annoying, especcially since I have quite a few that are immune to just about everything.
