Bu this is a game about killing orcs. If you feel like if you've stabbed one orc in the face you've stabbed 'em all, maybe this game isn't for you. :)
There is actually a lot of depth though with the various strengths and weaknesses of the captains and warchiefs, and with the various options for dealing with them once you've unlocked all the abilities.
I would definately play with a controller, this genre and driving games are the only thing I'll use my xbox controller for.
I've heard this game refered to as a murder simulator/tech demo and I understand where that is coming from and I kind of agree with it but I also really liked it even though I found it incredibly bleak and a bit depressing. I would give it a bit more time before abandoning.
I will play through again at some point.
I've run out of orcs to kill and have not come across this infinite mode you speak of.
For the OP, I use a mouse and keyboard, no problems whatsoever. This game if you only play to follow the story, it can go by too fast. I broke off and explored the open world, made my own objectives, made it even more fun. When it comes to killing, it's all about the combos.
If you allow them to set off the stronghold alarm repeatedly, then yes, they just keep spawning a fresh batch for each alarm sounded. The trick is to both manage the circle of melee opponents and use your bow and focus to take down any who break off to set off the alarm. They will have a special icon over their heads.
If done right, you can effectively clear the entire stronghold of enemies. That is, at least until you leave the area. Leaving the stronghold for a while, fast traveling, advancing time will also make them all return.
they just take fighting from batman and item exploration from lara croft and called it a game
game has literally no story, you can throw out 90% of all missions and will not miss a thing
nemesis system is a joke, its only purpose is to force players spend aditional 4-6 hours on capturing orc generals.
I don't really understand what people mean bu repetitive games, each game is repetitive: racing is all time racing, fighting is all time fighting, action has 2-3 things to do over and over, FPS is running and shooting. is there an example of a non-repetitive game?
