Sauron's Army

Hei, I have a question. How does this Sauron's Army thingy work ? I killed some of them and in the meantime I was killing the others or hunting artifacts, main quest or challenge some of them were gone (they became unknown). E.g I killed 4 guys in the first line and then I went doing main quest when I checked again 2 of them became unknown. I didn't die, I know if I get killed they get promoted but it's different.

The thing is you will never be able to solo trough whole saurons army. remember theyre making uruks in deep beneath the earth, so powerful uruks always are ready to rise to power.

Thats just whats currently as captains/warchiefs. in the end game, it becomes more clear.

For each one you kill off, a grunt takes their place and tries to move up the ranks.

Unless you chop off the head of an uruk, there is a chance they will come back, too.
