i dont understand protect or dominate

I got branded warcheifs and when its icon appear on the map I just go there and get the quest but nothing happens all its say is protect or dominate?

That's there if you want to give them orders. If you don't, those icons don't matter.

how do you give him orders? once i take the quest all other icons disappear

Grab the warchief and command him.

^^ this. Grab them by pressing the space key and then tab the shift key to dominate them. Once you dominate one of them you get an option to command them (if you've unlocked it already).

Following the tutorials in-game helps. Every time you unlock a new skill a tutorial is added and you can look those up again at any time.

grabbing is ctrl and dominating is space for default keybindings :)

Pretty sure you need to complete the next main mission, you unlock command in the mission after you unlock brand.

these are not quest in the sence of the other quest. Normal warchiefs have to lured out of the strong hold to interact with. But if you already brand them, that would be unnessesery messy. so you get this icon on the map for if you do wand to interact with them. So you can do commands on them

once u got the branding you dont need missions to command. you can comand any captain/warchief to do what u want
