It's a lot more random than the Arkham games. In those, each encounter was controlled, and the difficulty curve was more consistent, especially since it had various difficulties to choose from. With this game, it could easily be a poor experience if you're unfamiliar with the Arkham combat. Dying just makes the enemies stronger, and there's no way to change the difficulty. Each enemies is assigned random strengths / weaknesses. You basically control the difficulty, by killing the strong, or letting the week grow stronger.
I would suggest playing the Arkham games first before trying this one out. This is a great game, but it's a gamble depending on what experience you're looking for. It could easily lead to frustration.
I never said anything about a 1-hit-kill.
I've been killed with a single grab in the "Test of the Ring" Trial, but I don't consider those to represent the game.
Very limited too. I mean, if you are going to do a hand stand a twirl around vertically on someones head at least give the ability to cause some sort of damage and not just as a counter.
It was something like that. had a busy day today. just kind of joke combat really.
I wasnt a huge fan of Batman combat either though. It was better than this iirc.
On a side note, game makers need to figure out collision with combat rolls.
Sonic had a thing but everyone now just continues the animation while the enemies look down at you somersaulting like a weirdo at their feet.
That was waht l did when l played the xbox360 version with sub 20 fps. l cannot see what was going on most of the time due to low fps but l still beat the game by alternate between these 3 buttons. Before l relized that methord l tried to do special moves and stuffs and got killed a lot. lol
