(Solved) Video device does not support directx 11 features
Just 2 days ago I was still playing shadow of mordor and it was perfectly fine. And that day, I tried hooking up another monitor. So I was running on dual monitor but I removed it after a few hours of using dual monitor.
However, last night and today, the error appear " video device does not support directx11 features " after I had removed my dual monitor set up.
Pls help. Thank you.

Did you plug your second monitor in your video card or in the integrated graphics port and which one are you using right now ?

Sounds like you are trying to run the game with your integrated graphics instead of your GPU if you do have one.

Can you please go to Steam -> Click on help up there -> System information -> Cut and paste it here. Need more info on your system.

I remember using HDMI cable to connect to my 1st monitor which I also had a VGA cable connected previously to that same monitor.

I will post my system info as soon as I'm back home.

Be sure you are connected like you were before. HDMI or VGA to your video card port and not integrated graphics port.

I connected like before just using VGA cable. But it's still the same. I will try it again.

Reset your settings to default in your GPU control panel.

If you read what he said you will realise he removed his second monitor and is not using it anymore. The error started after he removed the second monitor.

go to folder Documents\WB Games\Shadow of Mordor
and delete the 3 config files Game.ini, render.cfg, settings.cfg
maybe the game is reading those and trying to output to the nonexistent monitor.
game should recreate them with your current hardware.

But I'm using steam to run it.

stop the game. go to that folder. rename the files if deleting them makes you uneasy.
games usually read your hardware and write config files as first time setup. then when you start the game again, it just reads the config files. maybe it is reading old hardware info about your second monitor. delete/rename the config files so the games reads your current hardware. restart the game and see if the problem is solved.
