I would also like to know this. When I add to cart it says I won't get the game, but it doesn't say I wont get the GOTY upgrade, so is it safe to assume it would work?

you wont get the items you already own, but you will get the new items (that's how it works with some games I've bought - skyrim) - you can always refund if you screw up

To workaround this - remove the game + all DLC from your Steam account.

Then just re-purchase the GOTY edition on the store page.

Since you own the base game when you buy the GOTY bundle which includes the base game plus the GOTY upgrade, it will automatically deduct the base game off the price reducing it to $3.99. If you click on the bundle it will tell you what's included, what you already you already own, and any price adjustments. Unfortunately the GOTY upgrade is not prorated because technically it should be less than $3.99 since you already own part of the package deal but steam has the GOTY update listed at $9.99 for some odd reason.

They seriously can't put the GOTY upgrade on sale?
What a slap in the face to people who have had this game forever..

Same here. I'm hoping someone at Steam wises up and corrects it.

no fcking way to report the issue of upgrade price higher than goty via Steam support grrrr

goty upgrade is more expensive than goty.
In search results it shows same proce, but when you add it to cart the price jumps up ffs :steamsad:
