Ghul Matron

Trying for 100%, cant find a ghul matron for the hunting challenge. Please advise.

Be sure to travel around at night, look for caves too.

I was lucky that one popped up 10 feet away from me when i was running around at night while raining. They are marked red when you are in wraith mode, just like Captains.

At night? Because they popup left and right when i walk around in the open fields, also again, caves.

Very strange, i usually avoid nights simply because they are everywhere and spit poison at me lol.

Run around at night near the caves or inside of them and when regular ghouls wilk start to pop up kill 2-3of then until they start running away under the ground. A moment later there will be a second wave. During the second one repeat what you did during first one. The survivors wilk run away again and when the third wave will start one or two queens will show up. This works every time, just make sure that somę of the ghouls will survive first and second wave. Hope it will help.

Shooting ghûl bait may work too, even in daylight; but, yes, always let some raise the alarm.

Some people say that they only spawn on the regular campaign, and NOT on the "Lord of The Hunt" DLC while freeroaming, so basically what you have to do is shoot a ghûl mound and kill a few waves of ghûls (DO NOT kill all of them fast, always leave just 2 or 3 so they can get back to the ground to call the next wave) until you get a matron.

Okay, Step by step how to do this:

>Find a couple of ghul (easiest to find them at night, and in caves: I used Nurnen, not Udun)
>kill most of them, but not all of them: letting one escape
>wait for a moment, as he is getting reinforcements.
>repeat steps 2 and 3 until you find a matron
>shadow strike kill to get it done instantly.

Thats how I got it, and I have all the achievments. Good Hunting!

I just went back to the deep cave on the right side of the Nurn map at night where you encounter the matron in story mode. She showed up again in around the same place.
