Headshots.
Throwing daggers
Explosions
take ur pick
Wrong- They ALWAYS damage Any type of enemy in This game- however, if they got hate of burns, you might wanna avoid it.
also ranged drain works good as long as there arnt too many others distracting you
also the flies work good, as soon as captains or others start fleeing they loose all immunities
that lets you shoot them or just attack them with no problem from the shields
also not all shielded captains are the same, some cant be jumped, some cant be stealthed
some can
check their stats before you fight, or just try it and run if it fails
then sneak attack, if that doesnt work run
then come back and shoot him
if that doesnt work run
then it depends on if he said anything about a horn or his boyz
if not then sneak the orks around him dead and then drain him until he dies
if that doesnt work it kinda starts to be time to get some info on what does work
have you tried caragors?
Again not all of them. In fact most don't
It is one of their available strengths that you cannot vault them and just like every other strength or weakness it is random what they have.
1. Archery, try shooting them in the head to see if they are immune to ranged. If you have the leg shot skill then that is awesome for pinning them in place while unloading or when they try to run off. Note that shadow strikes are counted as ranged and can be used to quickly close the distance.
2. Sneak attack. Some of them can be instantly killed with this but only if you have intel saying that, otherwise you do heavy damage again unless they are immune to stealth.
3. Try vaulting over them, if that doesn't work then no you can't (can learn that from the intel before trying... just saying)
4. If vaulting doesn't work keep smashing them until the shield goes bye bye. Shields take damage over time.
I cannot stress how much easier it is to take down a captain if you have gained intel on him. Intel will tell you exactly how to approach the guy and wether or not you want to do hand-to-hand with him.
I once had an enemy that was immune to stealth and ranged while having combat mastery and hate of burning and caragors. Luckily for me he was afraid of morgul flies otherwise it would have been extremely difficult to kill him. Without intel It would have taken forever to figure that out.
