Wait for Steam Release or Buy on Meta Store?
Hi. I really liked the game based on what I saw and would love to play it. Right now there is a sale going on on Meta store. However, there will also be a Steam release. I heard it will feature both VR and non-VR mode, as well as full English voice acting.

I was wondering if there will be any other differences between the two versions? Sometimes the Meta version is inferior in graphics or features compared to the PCVR version for example. I plan to play the game just in VR. Should I wait for the Steam version, or go ahead with the Meta version?
Thanks.

Hi, thanks for reaching out!

The full English voice acting will come to all platforms! We plan on keeping total parity between the VR and non-VR versions. So, you'll get the full experience no matter which store you buy it on!

Graphics in the Quest version won't be quite as good as the PC version. However, the Quest version is crossbuy with the Rift store version! So, you'll also get access to a version you can play on PC that's available right now!

We'll try to make non-VR mode available for the Rift store version also, eventually. But initially that will be exclusive to the Steam version. After Steam, the non-VR version will come to PlayStation 5 and others.

Hopefully this helps make your choice a little easier.

Thank you for the quick response!
Glad to hear all the versions get parity - and it's very nice that we get the Rift store version as well due to crossbuy!
So just to make super sure - the Rift store version - is just as graphically good and feature complete (bar the non-VR mode of course) as the Steam version will be (right?). If so, I'll buy the Meta version now as I plan to only play in VR. Thanks!

Yes, the visual quality of the Rift store version is similar to SteamVR. The gameplay is identical. And there's also an update coming soon to add more content to all versions!
