Question about gameplay - bounty scanning
Hello there,

i've decided to buy this as it seemed a good choice to play on my steam deck.
haven't played much but so far I have no complaints, except for one matter.

Am I suppose to run around scanning every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ during firefights, for secondary bounties, while being blasted?
Maybe I'm missing something, but this is quite inconvenient...

Also, sometimes Jango stops shooting while free aiming, but I suspect this is due to the age of the game and its janky controls.

Yeah, thats pretty much what you're supposed to do playing the game blind. I remember as a kid spending way too much time scanning a million guys before finding a bounty.

However, most bounties usually pop up before a big firefights. I think the only time bounties will spawn with mob waves is during chapter 5. I wouldn't worry too much about finding every bounty, as they're only used to unlock concept arts depending on how many credits you've accumulated.

If you're going for the achievements though, I'd recommend looking up a guide to save you time and sanity.

Yeah, and worse when there's a couple in a certain level that WILL kill themselves if you don't position yourself correctly to get them. What a pain

I have the PS2 version of this game and i think the gameplay is sometimes really bad.
Now i wonder if it is worth buying this PC version but seeing these comments here makes me probably decide against it.
I´m still not sure though. Should i just stick to the PS2 version or is it a better experience with the PC game? Is gameplay different?
What would you say is a fair price for the PC game now? It is 25% off now, but i´m not sure the price is fair atm.

The gameplay is exactly as I've described; after some levels I'm not entirely sure it is a good system... Constantly switching to the scanner while being shot at is not exactly fun, and the whole thing screams "mid 2000 console junky shooter"
