This is so Disheartening
Let me start off by saying, THIS IS MY MOST FAVORITE GAME EVER. its always been one of these feel good return to play type games. the campaign, play style, story, characters, everything. i love it. So of course i spent the money to have it on the steam platform with the "re-release" title it was given. but the fact that its virtually unplayable sometimes is absolutely deafeningly upsetting. This message i get about being unable to connect with my graphics drivers DESPITE the fact that im running the game on the bear minimum is lutecrise. ive never been so disappointed in a gaming company. Truly sad when a great game like this is redone with such poor execution

Literally nobody else is having this problem except you. This is not a problem with the game or the developers, this is a problem with your hardware.

I had that same problem, it went away after i updated my gpu driver.

if you haven't yet, Install and make an account on Nivida GeForce Experience, from there it gives you option to update your graphics driver. I was having the same problems too at first, hope this helps

I keep getting a message saying it's disconnecting from my graphics hardware. Game freezes up and I've checked my drivers via GeForce Experience. Are there any settings changes I should make maybe?

Someone in another thread mentioned that turning off "ambient occlusion" in the graphics menu may help it run better. TBH its the least noticeable of the graphical options in the game.

I've had this problem until just now. Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date and that the game is selecting the correct GPU. Go into Device manager, display adapters, then ensure the GPU is updated and that any integrated GPU's are disabled.

Next, in the windows search bar, type update, you'll see check for updates, click it. Update everything thats not up to date. Restart.

Disabling ambient occlusion only reduced the frequency at which the game crashed and it helped maintain a steady frame rate.

Good luck.

I found this on PCGamingWiki, but it says this. Ill C&P it.

Memory leak
This can be observed with RTSS just by leaving the game opened, RAM memory will increase until the game freezes and a pop-up will appear with the following message: "Connection to the graphics device has been lost. Please verify the integrity of your graphics drivers. Check the logs for further details."

People out here acting surprised a mild overhaul of a nearly 15 year old game is having problems playing nice with modern hardware and then don't even update their drivers.

If its that bad my guy go get a PS2 Emulator and play it there. its the same experience tbh and is free.

Based on how few people have bought it so far...good luck with sales and good luck defending the game against what will be a horde of haters...prepare.

If a game is old so what zero reason for it not to work or be as good otherwise why did they bother? Is it a better than nothing deal i dont think so and i dont think the investors would like it either.

I doubt there were any investors. A "remaster" of this nature takes very little actual effort. Its a quick cash grab.

That said i've had no issues making it run. I also don't buy the above guy's memory leak claim or its a isolated issue for them. 2 other friends have the game and none of us have had that issue. One let the game run for 3+ hours while they went to the theater, came back and had no problem so thats not a universal issue.

LMAO, the game has 470+ positive reviews on Steam. This is not a prevalent issue. I haven't had any issues either, but I do agree you should make sure your Graphics Card drivers are up to date. :Emil:

I'm getting this error specifically when picking up mandalorian rage with an NVIDIA 1060 GTX card on my laptop.

Tried updated NVIDIA drivers for my laptop and the issue is still happening and repeatable when picking up any of the mando rages in the Coruscant levels.

The issue does not seem to happen at all on my desktop which has a 3090

The game works flawlessly. It's a problem with your computer. What are your specs?
