So you have also a farm for crops only, yeah i am thinking about that to.
no supports the animals and quests its all crops for quests and animals
I've mentioned I'm very shy to open my farm for events because of my experience with FT1 and I don't want to have to shut down everything with security "just" for events, but if I can have an isolated space for event stuff, I'll totally do that!
Regarding your first question: You can do what you want with your second farmland, but as you already know, people will join the land you currently are in.
Regarding your second comment: I think in your case, you could set the whole farm permissions to "None" (or maybe "Harvest") to prevent potential damaage or griefing, and set a security booth with higher permission levels in an area where you have the event items available. However, people may not even try to join your farm if they see the overall permission level is set to None...
At some point in the future, we'll probably allow some kind of tag system so you can classify your different lands ("Event", "Decoration", "Leveling", "Social", etc) and not rely only on the farm name / welcome message.
Yes, the security booth, that is a very good invention in the game.
When there will be an event. I assume it would be the same gameplay as the first event, i will be at the event (2nd Farm) so that other players can fullfill their daily quests
I used the 2nd farm to double up on my best crops like fruit trees, flowers, coriander and cows. I find I need to earn lots of coins and diamonds for Land 3 as the plots are very expensive.
Except those farmhands are only "working" on the farm you are currently on. Until the Devs make some changes with the farmhands working "offline" I cannot see the use of them on the other farms. :(
Lot of work though, have to level up a little bit more to buy more plots at farm 2 and 3.
And then the decorations ofcourse, to make it cozy and beautifull
