Bug: Animal feeds not working reliably

So, I put down an animal feeder and fill it, making sure it is connected to the animals. Then a minute later I notice that it has a grass border all around it and the animals are hungry. When I try to fill the feeder, it says that no feed is needed.

This happens constantly and randomly to most of my feeders. I have tried rotating the feeders, and sometimes that works initially but usually a minute later it will disconnect again.

I like putting my feeders in a row so it's easy to fill them, but currently that's not working, since one or more of the feeders in the row will randomly disconnect from the animals for no reason. Like right now I have a row of four feeders, all of which were initially working. But now three of them are bordered with a square of grass and have disconnected.

This has been happening since day one, but it seems to be getting worse now.

Even in the first game I never used the feeders because they didn't seem to work good. Instead I just used farm hands to look after the animals... I miss them...

Farm hands will be back! Hopefully sooner rather than later - they are greatly missed...

The feeders are a bit wonky and even when working as intended don't really add enough to make them worthwhile.

This... I never thought they were worth the ribbons. I never noticed a significant difference either, other then aesthetic.

I think the animals generally need to be reworked. Sometimes it says to me that the next harvest isn't for over 4900 days.

I moved the feeder to another tile and now I can interact with it.

Should it be in german "Vitelotte Kartoffel"? Or should is be "Violette Kartoffel"? ^^

I came to report the same thing. :) They don't disconnect from my chickens, just the pigs for some reason. If I pick the feeder up and place it right back down, it attaches again.

I'm not only noticing that the feeders are randomly coming unattached, but the animals as a whole seem to be eating much more than when the game first started. I should have pot-bellied chickens with all the feed I'm having to give them. I have also tried taking the feeder off and watching the feed, and it appears to be the same regardless.

Es gibt tatsächlich ne Kartoffel namens Vitelotte Kartoffel, wird auch auch als Trüffelkartoffel bezeichnet.
