I would go for 2, personally.
The second is way more smooth to play, imo ofc.
And they add new content every months (sometimes weeks), so it’s even better to have that kind of fresh wind coming when you feel like you’ve reach the “end”.
But I would also recommend you to check some videos or comments to make your own idea. (:

FT2 has better graphics during yielding crops and the farm can be made mega big.
FT1 has less useless bloatware, like town logistics, mine grinding, house chores.
It's pretty clear you don't understand the definition of bloatware. "software whose usefulness is reduced because of the excessive disk space and memory it requires."
FT2 features like town logistics, mine grinding, and house chores do NOT take up excessive disk space and memory, nor do they reduce the usefulness of the game. They are simply non-mandatory features you can choose to perform.
I used it freely to make a general 'less is more' point.
