Finding farms with server menu
So I favored a few farms but it seems that I can only find them if their farm shows up in the list of 50 farms that show at any one time, why isn't there a favorites tab that you can bring up to see them or get to them if they are online without having to keep filtering through the list of 50?

And it seems to be the same thing with friends, why isn't there a friends tab to click on if their farm isn't showing in the server list? Several times I've had to exit out of the game and go through my friends profile to get to her farm.

I rarely play mp in games so I'm not real familiar with server menu's but the way this one is designed doesn't seem to be very user friendly for ease of finding the farms you want to go to.

I'm not at my pc to be able the check atm, but there are tabs for friends and favorites...at the bottom of the farms list from what I remember. I mainly play solo, so I haven't used it much myself.

There is a button in the lower left that allows you to choose all/friends/favorites

I've had Filter by Favorites show farms that were not in the list of 50. Is it possible that your friend's Friends List is private? That supposedly affects the visibility of people on the list?

I didn't realize you had to click through the filter button 3 times to get to the favs list but I see it now, it was the last option.

But for my friend it always said it was private even when she had it open to the public and had a visitor on her farm so I don't know why it's like that. But I did figure out today that I could click on her name in my guest book to get to her profile to join her farm that way without having to exit the game and then go to her profile. But now that I know how to see the favs list I should be able to see her there also when she is online, hopefully.

Thanks for the help everybody, this stuff is kind of a pain to figure out when you don't really play mp games very often. I've been having my farm open to the public when I'm there working so visitors can come by to harvest event items, so that's kind of nice to help people out.

Yes, that threw me off at first too, but I'm starting to realize how much more common that is in games more now. :o Oh, that's cool that you can click people in the Guest Book to go to their Profile. :D Nice, what Region are you set to? That may help people find you if you like. ^_^ I'm glad you were able to get it working.

Well I don't know how common it is because I usually always play solo in mp games, but I do have 4 friends that play this game and come to my farm sometimes, although 2 of them rarely play anymore.

I'm on US West server, I don't leave my farm open when I'm not there so it's only visible for a limited time each day, but if they see me I have 800 of each event crop, it seems like people are mainly looking for the flowers, idk..

That is good to know. Perhaps players are catching up with the flowers? I heard that not many people had them or very many of them in the beginning...

Hi!

Basically there are 3 ways to join a game:

1- Via Find Farms (on any of the three filters: Public, Friends and Favorites)

2- Via Invite codes (you get it from the farm owner, if the farm is public it will always be the same, if it's not it will change on every session). Codes can be entered in the Find Farms section.

3- Via Steam invites. Owner can invite someone from the menu, but it's not required.
You can join to your friends' games from the Steam friends list or the player's profile, either from the Steam client (no need to close the game, you can just alt-tab), or the Steam overlay (opened by pressing Shift-Tab by default). You can join games this way even from your own farm, so it can be quicker than going to the main menu.

My guess is that people didn't plant as many flowers as the crops because the flowers are permanent placement, and they either have to have the space to keep them once the event is over and go through the hassle of moving them, or deleting them.

You can also join friends by opening your friends list and right click "join game", you don't need an invite to join if their farm is public.

Oh yes, that makes sense.
