Kickstarting The Mine

Ok I appreciate, this is more for higher end farms that can unlock additional land via the town hall in town. Like most people wasn't overly impressed with the Mine drops, however if you are willing to sacrifice some of your horded medals, you can give mining a boost. So I had a 2nd bit of land unlocked sat there doing nothing due to cost of unlocking plots. Then found I can place another mine there, so swallowed the 500 medal cost to unlock land 3. and placed a 3rd mine, initially mined 2 x 5 iron in each of the first chambers, then as soon as could opened chamber 2 in each mine and mined 2 x 5 iron in there also, giving 6 iron nodes per hour at 50% change of gem drop. once could open chamber 3 and 4 in each mine then added the next gem (amethyst and Jade respectively) in the list again 2 x 5 per chamber. also by this time should only take a couple of runs to cover the 4-6000 cost per gem unlock. (do not keep switching gems, open up your mine and then add the new gems or you are just wasting thousands of diamonds for nothing, you only have to do each table once). so currently have 4 chambers unlocked in 3 mines at approx 6-7 thousand per run.
You can then start getting 4 x 40 medals back by doing quests from the marketplace. i'm sure someone out there will have an even more efficient way of doing this (and if you are level 300 you can unlock a 4th mine to boost this even further). will cost alot of Medals to unlock it all but you should within a couple of days and just a few mining runs start seeing returns on diamonds,

as an addition I now have 60 iron, and 30 of Jade Amethyst and Ruby across 3 Mines, very fast way of boosting diamonds, (just not as good as Rubber trees in FT1). waiting to get my medals back up before expanding further

Btw you can place the full amount of all items locked by numbers (like houses, farmhands...) again on each farmhand. :)

What kind of a boost in diamonds are you getting? I have 10 pillars going, mostly for experimenting. When I harvest I sometimes get 15, or 30, or 100 per pillar, it varies.

When I trade resources at the town shops once per day I get 4k-5k diamonds.
Trades with townies roughly 1k, depending on the offers.
Harvesting from production machines 2k, double or triple that if I harvest those more than once a day.

So from those sources I'm getting roughly 8k or more diamonds per day. And this is from one small farm.

Since you have depleted your metal supply, how many metals have you spent opening up additional mine rooms?

What is the cost in metals to open the third room? Fourth room? And so forth.

Do you have farmhands that you pay?

no Farmhands in the mine, its all you but takes very little time to get round it all, (i've only unlocked 5 rooms per mine at this time).

Its a game of chance for the amount you get but iron refreshes every hour, and that's 50% chance, it also goes up as the gems level. so the more you mine the better return you are getting. remember you may get a better yield from factories but that's a huge amount of crops to harvest to get anything decent out of it. (not to mention the time it takes).

I'm probably getting more diamonds out of three mines at about 2-3 minutes per mine and logging in 3 times per day, than you are doing all that work on 1 Farm.

The thing to note is its a huge outlay to get the mine really productive, i'm approx down 2000 medals now, but am rinsing the marketplace for 4 medal quests that return 40 medals each.

I know you can't have farmhands in the mine, I meant on the farm.

Yes the mine is a game of chance, not a good yield at 50%.

I have farmhands on my trees, it's not a huge amount for me to harvest, I don't harvest them at all, takes zero of my time, and I get 2k diamonds from apple trees alone per day, and that is after I've loaded my machines. Plus diamonds from the other trees.

It takes me about 1 hour to run through my entire farm, harvest flowers, animals, my big spice fields (for medals) and do the quests. And from the flowers I get diamonds, plus honey for medals, from the milk I get cheese for medals, plus diamonds. 1 hour of work for 8k or more in diamonds, that is not much work.

so one run on my mines this morning made 10,125 diamonds, i'll add what i get next run a few hours time, I think though I will beat your haul over the course of a day just mining.

This is not a challenge between someone who only runs the farm and someone who only runs the mine. The mine is an additional way to earn diamonds. Everyone who has a mine also has a farm and its income... so you can't make any comparisons like that here.
And harvesting 10k diamonds in one go (certainly not 5 minutes) is great

Mostly I was interested in the stats, since nobody has posted that info, like how much each room unlock costs, and if it's worth it for the yield that is never a sure thing.

And people can make any comparisons that they like, here.

Thats correct so today have made over 30,000 diamonds form just the mines, if this help all mines have 5 rooms unlocked, the next room unlock is 400 medals and 75 gems, think there are 4 more rooms per mine to unlock, so yeah that's going to be alot of medals

can I just say to the devs, I Love the new Mine, gives me reason to dip back in regularly, my diamond production has gone up hugely since its release, and as some one else put if you could add different mushrooms to farm and maybe add extra gems and by extension extra levels too.
