I think the event timer, is following steam-stores normal update time.
Whether it's midnight or 8am or 6pm it IS reset every 24 hours. If you finished the daily tasks at 7pm you will be able to finish new tasks at 7pm the next day (so even if you can only play at a certain time, you will still get new tasks every day).
It doesn't require you to 'farm together' if you don't want to.
The event is 14 days long. You only need earn 25 tickets in total to unlock everything the event offers. You can earn 3 tickets each day without going to another farm and without having a friend come to your farm. You CAN play solo.
Farm Together 2 is a "GRIND" game. It's meant to be "inconvenient" for the player. Do a lot, and then do much more, and get very little in return. People who play this, loves the grind.
But you can play as much, or as little as you like, or have time for, no one really pushes you to achive anything.
Regarding solo, or multiplayer, you can do solo, and complete the event, and the hole game.
If you feel pressured for time, get some of the great community to help you on your farm.
There are some steps you can take to achieve more, in less time. Be sure you have enough fuel, use auto-tractor, have fuel tanks at each waypoint, have waypoints. Have long rows of trees and flowers. Have enough farmland for doing quests. Level up stores.
And get the second house, so you can do dbl, jobs.
The Halloween event can be completed both solo and online.
There are 14 days to complete it and it requires 25 tickets, of which you can get 3 each day without leaving your farm.
This means that you can complete the event in 9 days if math is anything to go by.
If you have two houses and have put in the Halloween paintings, the whole thing will take you less than 3 minutes a day.
---
You are not the only one complaining about this event and honestly, I don't understand what you have to complain about.
The event missions are 5 and always the same and completing the event is really easy.
---
The event resets at 19:00 or 07:00pm, but you are free to enter your farm whenever you want to complete it.
You are not forced to enter at the reset time.
You are required to enter for the time necessary to reach 25 tickets.
If you then manage to enter to complete all the missions every day or just to get the 25 tickets, this does not change.
You have 14 days to do it and you are not required to do it by entering the farm of other players, risking socializing.
For my personal opinion, I do have concerns for the ability for people who can only play a couple times a week and don't want to play with others to complete the Event in time but that very much do want to, and, I understand that the devs have to make decisions for the game that inevitably is going to leave some people out from some things. :S The only potential workable solution that I can see for the above mentioned players in this situation is if maybe they could have one or two trusted players come to their farm to tend to the Event while the host takes care of some real life things or does other things they need to do on the computer. I know that that requires the host to have to go online even when they don't want to, but maybe if they set Visitor and Friend Permissions to NONE and then the few trusted individuals' Permissions to Build (or whichever allows planting, and maybe continuing/completion of house tasks if needed -Custom should work and then the host can set individual things they would want/need the trusted individuals to do), then maybe that would alleviate a big enough amount of the aversion to going online for it to be acceptable. I know that won't help everyone, but maybe it can help some. :S
It takes 45 minutes to complete a witch painting, involving 3 steps, care to explain how the whole thing takes less than 3 minutes a day, lol.
I would like to add to the conversation concerning playing several days a week vs at your own pace.
Normally playing every day is not an issue, however just 2 weeks ago a hurricane came through our area knocking out power and internet. An unusual occurrence, but just an example of "things happen". Therefor I am empathetic to those that prefer tp play at their own pace.
You can start the painting at any point before the timer resets, as long as you harvest it after the quests are reset. You could start the new painting for the next day literally right after completing the first, if you wanted to. I've been doing this since the second day and I can complete my daily objectives literally within 15 minutes after the event reset.
I understand this, but it still takes 45 minutes for the painting, the whole thing can't be done in 3 or 15 minutes no matter how you slice it. You can prep 2 ahead of time and it's still going to take 45 minutes, with 3 stages.
