Event timer should reset at midnight not 24hrs
Did the event yesterday at 7.00pm, and enjoyed it. I liked the town decor, but I had expected that as it's now a new day for me that I'd be able to harvest more this morning. I can't, and that's a pain because I will be busy this evening. I think for future events that each time it is a new day in our location then we should be able to harvest more. This would be more conveinient for those of us with busy lifes.

Also for future events the need to go online or have it take longer to complete event should be completely removed. Farm together is sold as a game that can be played either solo or multiplayer, so why penalise solo players.

I see some people on here saying that the game is multiplayer because it is called farm together. Have you people actually read the description of the game on the store page? It clearly says can play either solo or multiplayer, so stop telling others how to play! Thank you!

Smart. Then we can just adjust the Clock on the PC, and we can continue immediately :-D

I think the event timer, is following steam-stores normal update time.

I agree with Sylva. I preferred the way the events were run in Farm Together 1 as opposed to this new time locked way. Some of us only have 1 or maybe 2 evenings a week to play. We all pay the same amount of money to play the game and achieve end goals. Why punish those of us with full time jobs and families and real life responsibilities? What difference does it make if I can complete the event in two days as long as I pay my money and put the actual work in? Waiting around 19-24 hours is not work. It's nonsense. I love the game and really hope that they consider changing the time lock part of the event.

Midnight in what part of the world? Which timezone do you think they should use and why?

Whether it's midnight or 8am or 6pm it IS reset every 24 hours. If you finished the daily tasks at 7pm you will be able to finish new tasks at 7pm the next day (so even if you can only play at a certain time, you will still get new tasks every day).

It doesn't require you to 'farm together' if you don't want to.

The event is 14 days long. You only need earn 25 tickets in total to unlock everything the event offers. You can earn 3 tickets each day without going to another farm and without having a friend come to your farm. You CAN play solo.

its much better this way, than in FT1, FT1 you could only plant a certain amount, and some of the items were season locked. sometimes you'd just be sitting there waiting to be able to get on with it. at least this way even brand new farmers can get stuck in by visiting other farms.

Exactly. If you can only play once a day, it won’t make a difference when it resets. And like you said, they would have to adjust to each time zone, which would be pointless.

You paid for the game, you don't pay any other money.

Farm Together 2 is a "GRIND" game. It's meant to be "inconvenient" for the player. Do a lot, and then do much more, and get very little in return. People who play this, loves the grind.

But you can play as much, or as little as you like, or have time for, no one really pushes you to achive anything.

Regarding solo, or multiplayer, you can do solo, and complete the event, and the hole game.

If you feel pressured for time, get some of the great community to help you on your farm.

There are some steps you can take to achieve more, in less time. Be sure you have enough fuel, use auto-tractor, have fuel tanks at each waypoint, have waypoints. Have long rows of trees and flowers. Have enough farmland for doing quests. Level up stores.

And get the second house, so you can do dbl, jobs.

I don't want to take sides, but you are free to play both solo and online.
The Halloween event can be completed both solo and online.
There are 14 days to complete it and it requires 25 tickets, of which you can get 3 each day without leaving your farm.
This means that you can complete the event in 9 days if math is anything to go by.
If you have two houses and have put in the Halloween paintings, the whole thing will take you less than 3 minutes a day.
---
You are not the only one complaining about this event and honestly, I don't understand what you have to complain about.
The event missions are 5 and always the same and completing the event is really easy.
---
The event resets at 19:00 or 07:00pm, but you are free to enter your farm whenever you want to complete it.
You are not forced to enter at the reset time.
You are required to enter for the time necessary to reach 25 tickets.
If you then manage to enter to complete all the missions every day or just to get the 25 tickets, this does not change.
You have 14 days to do it and you are not required to do it by entering the farm of other players, risking socializing.

Having the event timer resetting at midnight would be very helpful.
Darkness Vortex Oct 27, 2024 @ 12:11pm
Since I have had some confusion following the posts in this thread but I am getting the impression that there is misunderstanding for the resetting of the Event, I will say here that the Event tasks reset at the same time every day regardless of what time each player completes them. I'm not good with time zones so I don't know which time zone it is midnight for, but it does not give the player a +24 hour "cooldown" before they can complete tasks again. If everyone already knew that, then I apologize for interjecting, but hopefully it cleared up any confusion if anyone was confused about it. ^_^

For my personal opinion, I do have concerns for the ability for people who can only play a couple times a week and don't want to play with others to complete the Event in time but that very much do want to, and, I understand that the devs have to make decisions for the game that inevitably is going to leave some people out from some things. :S The only potential workable solution that I can see for the above mentioned players in this situation is if maybe they could have one or two trusted players come to their farm to tend to the Event while the host takes care of some real life things or does other things they need to do on the computer. I know that that requires the host to have to go online even when they don't want to, but maybe if they set Visitor and Friend Permissions to NONE and then the few trusted individuals' Permissions to Build (or whichever allows planting, and maybe continuing/completion of house tasks if needed -Custom should work and then the host can set individual things they would want/need the trusted individuals to do), then maybe that would alleviate a big enough amount of the aversion to going online for it to be acceptable. I know that won't help everyone, but maybe it can help some. :S

It takes 45 minutes to complete a witch painting, involving 3 steps, care to explain how the whole thing takes less than 3 minutes a day, lol.

The cooldown timer is not a big issue for me, just a little quality of life tweak. My reset time is 1pm, since I generally prefer to play mornings; a midnight reset is more convenient. No real issue as I can skip a day and play the next morning as needed.

I would like to add to the conversation concerning playing several days a week vs at your own pace.
Normally playing every day is not an issue, however just 2 weeks ago a hurricane came through our area knocking out power and internet. An unusual occurrence, but just an example of "things happen". Therefor I am empathetic to those that prefer tp play at their own pace.

You can start the painting at any point before the timer resets, as long as you harvest it after the quests are reset. You could start the new painting for the next day literally right after completing the first, if you wanted to. I've been doing this since the second day and I can complete my daily objectives literally within 15 minutes after the event reset.

I understand this, but it still takes 45 minutes for the painting, the whole thing can't be done in 3 or 15 minutes no matter how you slice it. You can prep 2 ahead of time and it's still going to take 45 minutes, with 3 stages.
