spooky pumpkin

I don't get what that icon is for spooky pumpkin. I have the pumpkin all planted and harvested, but that second part, spooky pumpkin 100 with some icon after it to plant, but, I am not seeing anything like that to plant.

I went in game just now to look at the event page in an attempt to understand what icon you are talking about. All I see is the veggie icon next to the words 'spooky pumpkin'.

Any chance you have a screenshot?

ok never mind, it's about going to harvest pumpkins on other's farms. Do you realize some of us prefer to play alone and not go to other farms. And then there is the whole issue of finding a farm that has pumpkins ready to harvest. Bad Bad Bad choice , I guess I am not doing this halloween event, and I can't even say how disappointed I am. I don't have the time in life to search thru a bunch of farms to find pumpkins ready to harvest. I am out, and really am extremely disappointed.

Yeah the icon that is for going to other farms. So disappointed, well, I'm out I guess. If all the events will require going around to bunches of other farms to find a ready harvest... nope, not fun.

Something to think about, perhaps, is that you can complete the event (get all the rewards) entirely on your farm. You don't have to visit other farms.

You need only earn 25 total tickets to unlock all rewards and that can be done on your farm (you won't need to collect all 5 tickets every day of the event.

I can't even finish the first quest without traveling thru farms to find one that has pumpkins ready to harvest. Well, going back to bed, this is so disappointing.

Actually, I will leave my farm open, I had just planted more pumpkins to see if that helped. Someone can come harvest them when they are done.

That's awesome! And remember even if nobody comes to harvest them, you can still get 3 tickets each day by yourself and it won't take any time at all to get to 25 to unlock everything.

You can get 3 tickets each day.. (edit to add: on your farm)

1. Harvest the portrait
2. Harvest 50 spooky pumpkin (on your own farm or anyone else's)
3. Harvest 250 spooky pumpkin (again, your farm or someone else's)

You will see the tickets you earn listed with the rewards (for example the first reward was after earning 3 tickets but once I earned them and unlocked that, the ticket counter showed on the next reward too). So we only need to earn a total of 25 tickets.

The 5 tasks listed yesterday were repeated today and I expect will repeat tomorrow and each day of the event. It's not a quest really, just a list of 5 tasks we can do each day of the event.

Well I broke down and went to a farm to harvest the 100... thinking okay maybe after I do this I can do further tasks only on my farm, but, nope, the 100 on another farm became 500 on another farm. I am done, not sure I will play this anymore, but surely wont be able to enjoy the holiday events if they are going to do this. Glad my room mate didn't buy farmtogether 2, and will let other friends know, what they will have to do if they want to participate in holiday events. Sighs sadly. Dang waste of money. Will go play World of Warcraft instead.

You don't have to do the quests in order though - I did all the solo tasks first, got the minimum number of tickets, and stopped for the day. The developer said that you can do the whole event solo, but it'll take a few more days. I guess the difference is between 3 "tickets" or quests complete, and 5 for doing online. So, collect your own pumpkins, and do the cat painting, all on your own farm. You don't have to do the online parts first, or at all.

You don't have to do the online quests, you can play solo, the issue is that the quests are capped with a daily limit, reset daily, which requires people to play on a daily basis, and this does not work for people who can't play every day due to real life commitments. However these same people may have time to log in multiple times a day, a couple days a week, but are blocked from advancing the event quests, and therefore will never be able to earn all of the event rewards.

It's a big oversight with this new event design, and has essentially omitted a part of the player base.

I'm so sorry I don't know how to explain it better.
When you harvest the picture, you get 1 ticket for the day. You can get another ticket tomorrow if you harvest another picture.

You get 1 ticket, for the day, for harvesting 50 spooky pumpkins on your farm. The tasks reset every morning (for me, but your time might be different.. it's every 24 hours) so you get another ticket tomorrow when you harvest another 50 spooky pumpkins.

It's the same with harvesting 250 spooky pumpkins (and that first 50 will count toward this total) each day.. you get 1 ticket for this task as well.

That's 3 tickets each day on your farm alone, you don't have to visit another farm.

I also want to let you know that the tasks you completed on someone else's farm can be repeated every 24 hours (once a day) just like the solo tasks. Also, harvesting the spooky pumpkins on someone else's farm should count toward your individual tasks (so if you harvest 100 on someone else's farm it should give you credit for the 50 on your own).

I stopped playing farmtogether since they made the event so you HAVE to work other farms. I prefer to work on my farm only, and I dont think I am alone in this. Just saying again, how disappointing this is.

1. You don't HAVE to play on other farms, you'd just need to do the three other quests everyday.
2. If you're going to throw a hissy fit over something this minor, then maybe this game isn't for you.
3. I found a farm that's called 9000 pumpkins, afk host and haven't seen a single other soul. I can get the farm code for you if you want to mature up a little.
