The only things that could be interesting to move are houses and production buildings, as those are a bit more special. The other items can be sold and all money will be returned.
Moving items would require some sort of intermediate storage that we don't have for now, and... how would the interfaces work? it would be something separate? it should show as another tab in the shop? our current interface is mostly designed with showing things in different categories so it's not an easy fit.
Remember that if we're hesitant on doing something, it's because it's usually way harder than it looks, and this is one of those.
It's done this way so that we can 'clear' all the assets used in one piece of land, and load another one. That's why there's a loading screen when you go to a new land.
If we just had one huge land, we would have to rise the PC requirements, as more memory would be needed to store everything. Particularly when we're constantly adding more and more stuff.
I had about 2,700,000 diamonds (yeah I play way more than I should but it's addictive. I flatten around 1/3 of top land and changed all ground back to grass. I now have about 723,000 diamonds left, yeah it's expensive. I am using 2nd farm for animals and fish. The first will be crop fields and perks we get from seasonal quests and new decorations. The 3rd farm is for trees and flowers.
