Upgrading garage and shops
First, I want to say that I really do love this game. It's totally addictive and the graphics are lovely. I played FT1 for a very long time and built quite a few farms so getting an updated version in FT2 is amazing. However, there are a couple of things in FT2 that I really don't like.

I have already created a large farm which is around level 169 or something. At the same time, I have just started another farm which is currently around level 32, and while playing this, I'm finding I'm not enjoying it very much and the reasons for this are below.

Fuel Tankers
I miss the very attractive gas stations that were in FT1. The oil tankers aren't very attractive to look at and my daughter commented she doesn't like them either (She has her own game on her own steam account). I used to love positioning gas stations around my farm in FT1 and decorate them. Can we have them back?

Upgrading the Garage
This is taking ages and ages and even though I have upgraded the garage several times, my tractor can barely do a run of a 54 square fields without running out. It's so TEDIOUS! Why is it so difficult to upgrade? My next upgrade is going to take several medals and blue flowers which take 5 hours to grow, which means that to get the right amount I will have to do several harvests with 5 hours in between each harvest to get the amount I need. And it will use up all my very hard to earn medals. Why is it so difficult to get more fuel? Fuel is a necessity for planting and harvesting enough crops to feed the animals and my tractor is constantly running out of fuel.

Upgrading the shops
This is really tedious. I can never remember what each shop needs for each upgrade and far too often have just sold exactly what would have been needed. Also, the items you need for each upgrade is totally random and not relevant to any of the shops, making it extremely difficult to remember. In fact, I can't use the shops without writing down exactly what I might need for each upgrade. It works the way you have created it, but it's not that enjoyable - for me at least. I much preferred the way we could lay down stalls in FT1 - this was far superior in my opinion. In fact, one thing I really enjoyed in FT1 was creating my own little town and placing stalls exactly where I needed them. In FT2, I could be harvesting away somewhere in my farm only to have to dash to the town mid-harvest to drop off some crops (often not able to sell enough because the upgrade isn't high enough) and then locate back to my bus stop or house and go off to find the field I was harvesting in, possibly missing it because the season changed while I was in town. I don't like this very much at all.

In general, I think the town, shops and garage need ironing out a little bit so as not to put players off starting a new farm after already creating one. It's so tedious to have to step back in such a manner and it puts me off continuing the game with another farm.

These are just suggestions from me which I hope you will look at because I would like to continue playing this game - it's such a great game - but it's putting me off when starting a new farm. My enjoyment, once I have created a smooth running farm, is to create a new one in a different style.

I agree with you there. I will probably never understand why, for example, the flower shop needs fish to upgrade. Is the fish nailed to the door frame as a decoration? No one knows.

It would make more sense if the shops gained experience by trading with them and then leveled up. Plus a few gold pieces to invest. Now you could understand it and you are not forced to deliver items that are not at all in keeping with the shop.

oh yes, that would be great
if a certain number of items have been received, the amount of money could be requested for the upgrade.
so if you are at the shop anyway to sell items, there could be a display in the improvement area that shows how many items have been received and as soon as the required number is reached you can click the upgrade button and the amount of money will be retained.

Exactly, I am thrilled. :steamthumbsup::Eve_Love:

I agree. Thinking about it, I would like to see each shop upgrade after a certain number of items (which the shop actually sells) have been reached. Then, perhaps using coins rather than medals which are so hard to come by, the shop could be upgraded. I really like this idea and it makes more sense to me. And I could do away with my paper and pen which I currently need by me to make notes of what I need to remember in this game :)

I have NO problem with the Fuel Tankers at all. I do Not need Fluff at this point.

I really don't understand the problem here. Other than the difficulty in obtaining diamonds/gems I've had no difficulty upgrading the shops. Once reaching the level for peppercorn, and upgrading the shop to sell it to (I don't recall to what level, 35 I think it was) the medals/ribbons and coins are VERY easy to come by. My garage and warehouse (as well as several other shops) are already at level 100.

I do play a lot, but if I didn't it would simply take longer to do the same thing.

I agree to everything Anima55 says and the gas stations in FT 1 were so beatiful

It does become easier once the peppercorn and spice trees are unlocked, I have 300 spice trees and two big fields dedicated to peppercorn crops to trade for medals.

As far as the diamonds I've spent next to nothing on decorations, I save them for buying new plots and I have plenty on hand for when I need them for shop upgrades. I understand people wanting to decorate but all the good fluff is not in the game yet, it will come once the events start and with the dlc's. Plus they might add some diamond trees or crops.

Exactly. This game is more complex with the leveling and requires a different strategy than the first game, people are struggling figuring this out. I view the diamonds as a rare commodity that should be hoarded until all plots are unlocked and all shops are maxed out on levels.

I absolutely agree.
Farm embellishments can be done once all the available land has been unlocked and the shops are maxed out.
At that moment, it will then be possible to redesign the entire farm with all the embellishments you want.
I play alone and I don't have that much time to dedicate to the game, having many things to do during my day.
But in any case, I have managed to bring almost all the shops to level 90 for the moment, my farm is at level 179 and I have found a good production system that allows me to grow without difficulty.
But I haven't dedicated the time and resources to making either the farm or the house beautiful.
Upon entering the house, there are only two stoves for cooking, the piano and the tripod for painting in addition to the basic furniture supplied with the house.
For now, I only spend diamonds on shop upgrades and to buy the latest available land.
---
In any case though, just to take everyone into consideration, actually starting a new farm here on FT2 with the idea of tackling the growth of the shops again bothers me.
It must be said, however, that FT1 also had its difficult points... do we want to remember the buildings that multiplied the value of crops, flowers, fish, animals and trees?
It took a lifetime to bring them to the max.
In the end, it's probably right to encounter some difficulties to reach the maximum...otherwise, what's the point of playing.

The buildings that multiplied the value of crops, flowers, fish , animals and tresse , I hate them in FT 1 and I never leveled them to the end.

My house looks just like yours, lol. And on the farm the only thing I've bought is fencing to separate the animals when I run out of the free fencing that comes with the new plots, and I've made good use out of all the freebie cement paths. I'm getting rather annoyed with all of the free fish though, I mean how many clowns does one need.
