Jam factories and other production buildings will keep leveling up with use. This increases their production speed and capacity.
A level 1 jam maker can queue up to 10 jams, that means up to 200 apples + 200 fruits (the pear icon) stored on a single maker.
So if you have less than that, you'll spend all your resources in the first maker and not have enough left for the second one.
I know it can be a bit bothersome to spend all your resources this way, but we wanted to avoid additional UI panels that could add complexity and annoyance on the general use case.
It could be quite easy: queue n of production resource (jam cheese and such) and spend x of this and y of that to do so. Not complicated at all!
To encourage having fewer of these buildings: If building level was shared, having several buildings together would become a much stronger strategy. This way, it's possible, and probably still better, but not by that much compared to the increase in space/interaction time.
As for why have levels at all, same reason: So a few buildings can still be enough at high farm levels, without the need of having tens of them to keep a proper production rate.
Any dev response to this please? Will you think about it or is it a no-go at all?
What's annoying is that it gets really expensive as it levels up, my jam maker is level 77 and it takes 260 of each to load it, over 500 fruit is a lot, seems a bit excessive actually for the 13 jam that I get out of it.
