Since I redesigned my farm, which happened last week, I changed its visibility from Online-Private to Online-Public.
Obviously I set custom permissions to give guests the ability to collect practically everything, complete missions, etc...
But one thing I wonder, is it so difficult to sign the guestbook?
It is nice to see a comment from those who enter your farm, obviously to accumulate Favor.
I have found myself several times on other players' farms and after having taken a look at the layout of the farm, I left my comment along with the signature of the guestbook.
It did not seem particularly difficult to do so.
It is not an obligation, but it is good courtesy to do so towards those who leave a well-organized, cared for farm where time has been spent.
You may find all this silly, and it probably is, but if there is a guestbook and among the welcome phrases it says "Remember to sign the guestbook", there must be a reason.

If I had a guest book on my farm, which I don't, voluntary entries would be far more valuable than if players were asked to sign the guest book.

Personally, I find the guest book completely useless. You open it and click on a pre-written text. After a certain number of guests, the texts repeat themselves. The guest book neither promotes the farm nor the player. It's just there.

I know that some players like to collect visitors, but you should always be aware that visiting a farm and writing in the guest book are voluntary.

Sure, it's voluntary, but it's like saying thank you for a kindness.
It's like saying thank you to your wife for making you lunch, because you don't take it for granted.
But like I said, I'm probably the one who thinks that way and the guest book is really a totally useless thing.
But how convenient is it to go into a farm and stock up on Favor...

I like the idea of the guest book actually and wish anyone visiting my farm would actually sign it! I have only one signature at the moment which is really quite sad :( Oh well!
It would be nice if visitors could type their own message but I do realise that might not always be a good idea, which is a pity because it adds that little something to the game for someone to acknowledge the work that's been put into your farm.

I don't always sign people's guest books because I can't always find them after moving around the farm harvesting for a while. I did see on here that you can have multiple guest books which I'm wondering about because I do quite like hearing from other people in the game.

Das ist zwar für die Nachwelt nicht nachhaltig, weil es nicht im Gästebuch steht. Aber wenn ich eine Farm besonders schön finde, dann schreibe ich das dem Farminhaber in den Chat. Das ist auch persönlicher finde ich und kam bislang gut an.

Honestly, I don't need it at all.
I have a great economic base in the game of all three currencies and I can easily manage my farm even without leaving it online.
But I found it useful to enter other people's farms to accumulate Favor and redeem it to help my cousin with her farm that is much smaller than mine and in great need of money.
So I started to appreciate the possibility of accumulating Favor that I have never used for my farm.
This made me think that this could be useful for those who are growing their farm and therefore, I thought it would be nice to be able to reciprocate, leaving my farm online to accumulate Favor for those who come to collect inside it.
For the rest, in truth, as far as I'm concerned, I don't feel the need at all for people to come and work on my farm, since I can easily manage everything in total autonomy.

I love the guestbook! I’ve only visited a few farms but I always signed if I could find them.

Maybe also be able to see the guestbook on the map. I have visited farms where I had to teleport around to find it.

Yes, I have often thought that would be helpful too. ^_^ I try to keep at least one by the Bus Stop so visitors can easily find it if the want to sign it.

I also keep mine by the bus stop. Unfortunately not everyone do. A book icon on the map can perhaps solve it?
