Chocolate Cake Recipe - missing ingredient?

As it says in the title, the Chocolate Cake recipe requires an ingredient with a symbol that looks like the 'spices' symbol from the first game - however, I cannot seem to find anything that will give me that resource for the recipe. Have I just not unlocked it yet, or is this an error? Am at farm level 50+

I can cook the chocolate cake,i´m at Level 97. So I think you just have not unlock it.

Sounds like your missing Either Spices such as Pepper corn,clove or Cinnamon. Also Nuts such as Walnut,Almound and Pistachio. I am at level 117.

Ah, haven't seen any of those to plant yet, so i guess it must be my level. Kind of annoying that I have had the quest for about ten levels so far, would be nice to have some sort of measure to ensure that a farmer will not receive a quest if they have not unlocked the ingredient yet.

Yea this game Annoys Me too !!! The nuts and some Spices are trees. Did you check those in the store ??

I have nuts from trees, but no spices available there yet either.

The devs have said that you should not be receiving quests for items you can't obtain. Before the "spice" trees/crops were available you could get a quest in town to trade i believe diamond for the spice resource. Keep an eye out for that.

The town is not the answer. You must level Up ! You will unlock Items every 10 levels. Sorry I had to think back on what I have done since 6-9-24.

Actually before they even had trees/crops to get spices the town was the ONLY way to get spice. I was sitting on so much spice and nothing to do with it in the beginning. I still get that town quest from time to time.

Sometimes you have to plant a lot of another kind of tree or crop to gain a new kind. If you hover over the grayed out spices/trees you should see what it needs to unlock.

Hello,

This was an oversight on our end. Other than townspeople quests here and there, spices are not available until level 75, while the chocolate cake is unlocked at level 52.

We'll change things so it's unlocked when spice is available.
