Town Stores & Problems
So with most of the farm unlocked. I find that some of the shops, even at 100% can not keep up. Having to run back to town all the time waiting for them to fill is annoying. I really do not like the limitations. I liked FT1 where you could just keep feeding the shops till you ran out of product. Is anyone else running into this issue or is it just me?

I have the entire farm unlocked and all the shops upgraded and outside of fish I don't have too much trouble.

Level them up continually, especially the ones that run out quickest for you.

The fish are the main problem. I have to go back 3-4 times. I guess I will just reduce the amount of fish on my farm to match.

I assume that on a farm, you are playing with more than one person and because of this, the shops cannot accommodate currency exchange requests.
My farm is private and with the shops at 55, I can manage everything comfortably.
In fact, between sowing, the growing time of the crops and the harvesting of the same, I am able to sell alternately and without waiting between just two shops and obtain a good income of diamonds.
I manage to grow adequately and by the time I'm beyond level 160, I can't complain.

Just myself. I keep it private. I reduced the fish on my farm and that has fixed it.

You're not alone feeling like this; I tend to agree with you.

I'm at Level 173 and have upgraded my shops high. I still run into problems with having to run to store or run back to farm because some limit has been hit

My first farm is level 220 and I have many shops at level 100 with most of the land unlocked. I plant and harvest a variety of things before I go to town.

The only time I ran into problems with being able to sell everything I wanted to was when I wasn't planting enough of a variety of things.

There is a 'balance' there. If you aren't planting enough of a variety, you will need to make more trips to town.

We aren't meant to 'hoard' resources and only go to town every real world day.

With most of your shops at 100 what does your storage capacity look like? In another thread somebody thought max storage was 5000, but I saw some charts in a guide and it looked like the max for storage is 3040.

Doing a reduction helped... However I just miss the way the first game was set up where you could turn in whatever you wanted for how much you wanted. I have only 3 more lands left to unlock, then I can set things up like I want them. The diamond farming to get the lands unlocked in FT2 even with the reduction cost is way more grindy then the older game. I seem to have had more fun in FT1 unlocking everything. I know it is still early access, and in the full release I am sure there will be many more ways to get diamonds. Honestly once the lands are unlocked I am sure the diamonds will just accumulate like the ribbons and money, so the struggle is almost over for me lol...

I don't recall each shop individual items, but as an example: my veggies cap is 4595 but my lettuce cap is 3560. Likewise, my pears can hold 4595 but apple and lemon have a cap of 3560. This is with the warehouse at 100 and the fruit shop and veggie shop both at 100 as well.

Jenny I don't think the diamonds will ever come 'easy' for us. That seems to be by design (and I'm not complaining, mind you, but I understand what you're saying).

It is my hope that giving them time (because it is EA) will allow them to see that getting the diamonds IS a grind (and maybe they didn't intend it to be -that much- of a grind).

Yes, the first game offered us many ways to get diamonds.. flowers, trees, crops, and fish.. and this one might very well get there.. but the good news is that you can always start a new farm (even on the old game) while waiting for this one to 'catch up', so to speak.

We just have to be patient. It's clear they are working hard at this and it's an awesome game, imo.

If you start a new farm here.. there's one thing I'm pretty sure of.. you will soooo much more appreciate how far you've gotten with your first farm (because the beginning was way, way harder than the higher levels).

Meanwhile, lets all beg for oregano like it was in FT1?

Please, please, please give us a diamond producing plant, flower or tree (or all of these)!

This game shouldn't be a grind. I miss the thing in FT1 where you could unlock plots with coins .. and what is it with the levels needed for unlocking? I don't recall FT1 having this i think?. I do miss the production machines of FT1 but i get they didn't want a replica of that game in this one.
