Production Units
Good afternoon everyone.

Being a min/maxer in other more taxing games I did a rough analysis of the production facilities for my farm level. If anyone wants to help and get the base numbers it might behoove other people as well. Here is what I have found.

As of the current prices given the Beehive will take 45 of your flowers (15 each of white, yellow, and red) to produce 1 honey. When it produces the honey you will receive 30 diamonds and 30 xp. Going back to my town I compared this to my flowers shop with pays me 10 diamonds per 10 flowers at level 47. So overall as far as diamonds go this is a loss however you do get honey which is needed for some villager quests and can be turned in for ribbons.

Now going on, the Jam Factory is next. It takes 20 pears and 20 apples to produce 1 jam. When you gather it you receive 20 diamonds and 20 xp. Going back to my town I checked in at my level 32 fruit merchant and found that he will pay be 8 diamonds per 10 fruit. So once again as a pure diamond gain, the Jam factory at base level is a loss, however it is still a great way to get ribbons and jam for those villager quests.

The last production building released was the Cheese Factory. For 20 milk it will give you 1 cheese. When harvested you will receive 40 diamonds and 50 xp. Going back to my village I checked in at my level 24 grocery store and discovered to my surprise that he pays 15 diamonds for 10 milk, making the cheese factory a superior way to get diamonds, not to mention those quest supplies and ribbon materials.

Now as I am posting this I will say these number are the base for the production units, while I have started them up I am not sure if making my own goods will level them or not, that is something we will all see in the future!

After reading this.. I am now sad that I put one of each of these on one of my farms. There doesn't seem to be any real reason to do so (though they do look cute).

With my fruit and grocery leveled to 100, they simply restock diamonds faster than these new items would provide.

For ribbons/medals there's nothing going to beat the spice/pepper. Honestly, I think the sell price on those should go back to what the dev initially changed it to (the 200 wasn't unreasonable given that you can have as many trees producing spice as you like).

Ribbons/medals require so little effort now.. it's the diamonds/gems that take so much time to get.

Town is still the best way to get diamonds, IMO.

Yep I posted that as I was eating my lunch after my first look at the new content. I haven't yet harvested any so I don't know if they level, but they do look nice. And I have the ribbons to spare.

The description says that you can enqueue multiple items (presumably more than one jam, honey etc). Is this a correct interpretation or did I misunderstand? Ribbons production on these is basically just a 'bonus,' unlike the old jam tables. I used to set up 20 of those to churn out ribbons en masse.

I wasn't planning on getting any of the new stations after checking the numbers that I was seeing (my town vendors are all 26 lvl) but if you can queue multiple batches of jam, honey, cheese it might be more worthwhile. Just curious if you have that bit of info. Thanks in advance.

Looks like you can queue 4 items per cheese maker, 6 items per beehive, and 10 items per jam maker. It does appear to be a Queue, but you don't have to wait for them all to be done for you to loot them you can pull them out one at a time.

How does this multiple queue work? I couldn't understand why it was taking out 80 milk on one and 160 milk on the one next to it and some just 20 milk. And the jam was inconsistent as well - the last one I placed two units with the correct apples added and the next said I was out and needed 20 apples - and I had just harvested over 500 apples. I lost all of them somehow. I couldn't see any way to right click and choose a setting on the amount per unit of the 8 units of each of the new production units I had placed, whether before buying and placing on the ground or after it is placed on the ground. I don't have any screenshots as I'm done for today and will look again tomorrow. Color me confused.

That is most likely something for the devs to say. As i had first posted it was a first look, it would be nice if they leveled up like crops/trees/flowers/fish do to give the chance for an increase of diamonds over just selling straight to the markets.
That could just be wishful thinking on my part. Kinda like wishing we could have both the nice looking way points we have now and the option to have a drive through type of way point as well.

Edit: And as I have discovered, they snuck in that change to the way point and I wasn't looking at them! Good work from the devs!

I have noticed that none of my townspeople give me any honey, cheese or jam anymore with the quests. This makes me sad because even though I bought several of each production facility I still prefer the town for my supply of these. I HOPE THE DEVS put these back in town quests,

They do, it's just rarer with the new variety of the quest.

On a side note. My sister noticed that the production units do level up, but they level up individually not wholesale like crops/plants/animals/trees do. We have not noticed an increase yet in the diamonds received from leveling up the production units.
