Landscaping Info
I wanted the option to start with a flat farm, but it was not an option. So I waited till I got to level 30. FYI when you get to level 30 you have to have 20 ribbons to open the landscape option, plus it uses diamonds to landscape... If I would have known I would have saved them ahead of time... I do love this option though!!

I just got the landscaping building and then tried to flatten my farm but i was disappointed the way the landscaping works is horrible and also cost diamonds to do it.
i think this is the only thing i have come across that i do not like. I will wait and see if a flat map becomes available before returning to the game. I do have to say i loved the flowers and trees also grass, the devs have outdone themselves, great improvement but i would have just kept the flat map option rather than the terraforming

I like the landscaping option... It cost a lot, but once it is done, it is done. My land is all flat now. (that I have unlocked) I may add in some mountains later. But it adds something to the game. I always wanted to be able to terraform.

There's plenty of areas that are flat you can open up you just have to be willing to expand. Roads and waypoints are there for a reason.

i have had another go at the terraforming and ok i was wrong i seem to have got the hang of it, i just wish it didn't cost anything to use it.

Not having a flat map to start is a pain in the neck. You have to level to 30 on irreg terrain which I just do not find fun to deal with. Then once you hit 30 it takes some serious diamonds to do the terraforming when you are trying to collect them to open more sections! On my first attempt at just flattening one 4x4 raised area I used over 500 diamonds - there is no undo so you pay for your mistakes while getting the hang of it. Also, you have to have 1 tile wide clearance AROUND the area you are working on. This means a lot of moving of objects placed on the irreg terrain getting to level 30. It seems it would be simpler to start flat and then raise or lower the land as you want later.

I'd be happy with that. Anything that gets me a flat farm.

Most of us are aware of this but it doesn't change the fact that we want a flat farm from the start.

I like that we can terraform, but have to agree the cost is steep both to gain and then to use. I also think the tool needs a bit of adjusting, atm it's a bit nit-picky. But otherwise it's a thumbs up from me.

I'm still confused at which tool people are talking about. I see a giant flatten farm button and in the shop I see ways to buy raised land, but I don't see anything to lower it.

you can switch between raising and lowering the land by pressing "y". At least in my language (I play in german) it is "y". But dont worry, I was confused at the start also ;)

In the terrain tab section of the farm shop, you can place or remove slopes and hills. For the English UI, the default key to switch from raise terrain to lower is Z.
