You seem a bit obsessed by this, as if Farm Together wasn't a successful game.
We couldn't be happier with the amount of players we got in the first game, as well as the outlook for the second game.
Maybe you're comparing it with games done by teams several times larger, that require 10x the amount of sales just to break even? Or stardew valley, which is basically a different genre?
A Farming Sim is what we have in Farm Together. A Life Sim is what this thread is about. However, folks are not understanding the goal of Farm Together is not to evolve or contain those features and therefore the category of "Life Sim".
Where Stardew Valley, it is a Farm Sim and also has the tag of Life Sim. Which is a game where you can expect relationships or romance. Same as My Time in Sandrock or My Time in Portaria.
Seems folks are confused.
Disagreeing is not confusion. People want what they want.
People want a variety of things. Some people want farming sims.. some want life sims.. some want fps.. some want puzzles.. and so on and so forth..
Doesn't mean they all get what they want from a single game.
Farm Together (and the original) are as near perfect a game as I could dream up. These devs have done an outstanding job on this 2nd game as well and I don't personally see any reason to be asking them to change their ideas on/for the game (because their ideas have been awesome so far even though they don't want to turn it into a life sim).
I'm sure you'll find a life sim that makes you happy.. but you won't find a better farming sim no matter how hard you try.
I don't think anyone made the claim that they all get what they want here.
I do agree that they're amazing games, however.
I believe you're confusing a life sim with a farm sim
Devlopers do this poll in the way that it was suggested by this person and see for yourselves what the people really want. lady_angel2k, you are the confused person because most farm games with marriage are labeled farm sim. I DON'T WANT A FARM GAME IF WE CAN NOT GET MARRIED! THERE HAS TO B MARRIAGE!
The both of you are confusing Farming Sim with Life Sim. Farm Together is not a Life Sim. Games of the Farming Sim category do not come with marriage or relationships in mind; they focus on the industry of agriculture. Bit of a difference in what you're saying compared to what these games really are.
It's been stated by the developers in this thread that the dev's may add a future DLC to allow players to wed other players.
They also have addressed their concerns with holding a poll within this thread. A little research goes a long ways.
It might not be the newest thing now, but Palworld at one point had 2 mil concurrent players.. somebody liked it.. 25 million somebodies according to a quick search.
See that's the thing.. many people like things that other people don't like. Just because one likes something doesn't mean everyone does and just because one dislikes something doesn't mean everyone does.
Some want 'marriage, etc' in FT2
Some don't
These devs have created another awesome game. Anyone not wanting to play it, shouldn't.
However, imo, there is no reason to try to convince the devs to change the core of the game just because it doesn't include what you want.
The most reasonable devs I've seen.. they've offered that they might be able to do a DLC marriage pack that allows you to 'marry' another player.
Why can't that be enough? It's rhetorical.
