Fastest way to get ribbons

I find it really difficult to save up ribbons. I just recently unlocked the restaurant which has a possibility to exchange food for ribbons. However, food takes forever to make. I also find it so tedious to go back to my house 2-3 times to finish one dish in a span of few minutes. It gets a bit annoying when you're busy farming.

Any tips on how to save up ribbons fast? Thanks!

currently it is quests as the fastest way to get ribbons.

there was recently an update with 4 diffrent pepper crops. These give you pepper. You can change your pepper for ribbons at the spice shop (i play in dutch, don't know the exact english name for the shop)

How do I get the pepper for this restaurant? The only peppers I get are the red and yellow ones straight from harvest.

They are talking about the peppercorn plant you need your farm to be level 80 to unlock the first one.

That's right... so far I have a 5 x 5 farm and have placed sprinklers everywhere to speed up crop growth.
And I have over 1500 unspent ribbons.
Perform missions regularly and your ribbons will grow quickly.

Obviously you need a farm with good production and which covers all the required quests.
I chose to use terraforming to create a flat farm in order to take advantage of all the available space.
With good planning, you can grow quickly and have a lot of currency ( Coins, Diamonds and Ribbons ).
