Check out this guide NI has made: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209569989-Plug-in-Administration-in-Cubase-8
The folders to point at:
VST2
[steamlibrary]\common\cakewalk\vstplugins
[steamlibrary]\common\cakewalk\x64\vstplugins
VST3
[steamlibrary]\common\cakewalk\vst3
[steamlibrary]\common\cakewalk\x64\vst3
Ok, I added all VST2 and VST3 folders you mentioned above into Cubase, but I still get the "IDS_BITMAP_NOT_FOUND_MESSAGE" and the VST shows up as a black window with broken white lines.
I'm using Cubase 5 too.
The folders match, so am I missing something regarding images?
The message "IDS_BITMAP_NOT_FOUND_MESSAGE" means that the registry keys for the plugin haven't been written yet and it can't find its resources.
Make sure you run the Microhost in STEAM and it launches and everything gets authorized. That's needed to write the keys and finalize installation.
After that I'd probably do a rescan in cubase since those z3ta+2 likely have failed in that prior scan.
I'll also reinstall Z3TA + 2 from Steam, see if I get closer to the concept.
Pardon my ignorance and thank you for the patience
The microhost is what gets called when you run Z3TA+2 through steam and authorize: http://imgur.com/3ck58Dh
If you just install Z3TA+2 without running these, you'll definitely get the "IDS_BITMAP_NOT_FOUND_MESSAGE" when you scan/load the plug-in.
Problem solved and I learned something new, thank you
Great! Glad you're up and running!
Best regards
