Report a translation problem
I agree that they should one day make a brand new MGS, but the last time they did that, they fumbled MG Survive. Konami wants to rebuilt the fan-base's faith in the company. MGS3 is the best/safest option and they seem to be putting a lot of effort into this.
I'd imagine most MGS fans didn't get to play Snake vs Monkey because it was only on the original MGS3, not sure why you consider that insulting.
Also did you throw in Splinter Cell as a complaint about the gaming industry in general, because Konami doesn't make/own Splinter Cell?
