METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER

METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER

This price is an insult to us fans!
Hey Konami, as you can see the whole community is shocked by this RIDICULOUS pricing! I personally was expecting 50 € price tag (60 € at most) - it's a remake. 1:1 remake. You didn't need to write new screenplay from scratch, you didn't need to record new audio, you "only" ported the game to new engine with new assests to look better. And it looks great! We fans love it's 1:1 remake, but that price is simply unacceptable!

I personally already own PS2 copy and also PS Vita copy. I was thinking to wait a week or so to see how is the performance (basically the only thing you can screw up here) and then either buy it straight away or wait for the first sale and bought it for some 35 €? But 80 €?!! No, no, no... I really like this game, it is in my Top 5 Games of All Times but I am not gonna overpay it that much... Remember that Otacon saying about beeing greedy from MGS2 (when you saved on tanker)? After all this, I decided to buy it in heavy discount - 19,99 € at max.

I live in Japan, the game for me is ¥8,580 or 53,65€. The deluxe edition is ¥9,790 or about 61,20€.

They did record new audio too though. David Hayter, Jodi Benson, Jim Piddock, Lori Alan, and others have all confirmed they've come back to rerecord new lines in addition to using their old ones.

Funnily enough, words do infact have definitions, and are not always interchangeable.

Port: A port is a conversion of an existing game to a new platform that relies heavily on existing work and assets. A port may include various enhancements like improved performance, resolution, and sometimes even additional content, but differs from a remake in that it still relies heavily on the original assets and engine of the source game.
Remake: A remake is usually a ground up rebuild of a game in a new engine to update it for modern systems and sensibilities. It usually tries to be as faithful to the original as possible. An example of a remake is the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy.

It by definition is not a port. While yes they have reused the voiceover audio and motion capture data to remain as faithful as they can be to the original game, everything else has been rebuilt from scratch in a completely new engine.

Great, good for you. But US, CA, EU, GB, CH, and NO, so roughly 85% of their potential customers are getting screwed...

Agreed. Not going to support this pricing at launch for a remake. 60 USD at most would have been fair.
"This price is an insult to us fans!"

Doesn't own MGR
Doesn't own MGS MASTER collection VOL1
Doesn't own Metal Gear survive

Bruh we can see that you are a tourist, all you own is MGS5 lmao.

As for the claim that "the whole community is mad" even If we include you as of right now 3 people don't have MGS DELTA while 2 people already own it, that's not the whole community being mad It's a loud minority being mad. :MGS2_Otadot1:
