maybe they might save it for a MGS legacy video? or just drop a random announcement on their own... or maybe drop a new trailer and the launch date during the game awards.
the only thing disproving the first two that is what one of the devs said in the most recent hotline, about how they save larger news for first party showcases (gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, etc.)... so it seems unlikely
i'm trying to hold out hope, but it seems somewhat unlikely for it to be released in november, but i would expect SOMETHING to be said when the anniversary comes around, it's a special occasion, how could they not hahaha
but at this rate i'm just gonna stick this game in the back of my mind like i have since i've been following it, just so i don't overhype and hyperfixate on it all. i'll enjoy what i can in the lead-up for further news about the game
BUT. if i were to guess, considering they've held back about saying anything about a release date so far, and the SH2 remake is still somewhat fresh, they might wait until next month to say something, maybe a date, maybe more scraps of food. if there's no date by then, surely there will be one by the time the game awards rolls around
SO, my final guess is likely Q1 of 2025. which is fine because it gives them a lot more time to polish and prep, and hopefully be as good as the SH2 remake has been doing
Cool i hope so
