open world ?
is this open world like phantom pain or liniare levels like a doom half life ect ?

No Metal Gear is open , no MGSV doesn't count because you can't explore it like you can with GTA or Fallout NV.

It's not that linear.
The game is basically broken into about 4 big areas you can explore, with multiple ways to get through each section, and the ability to backtrack etc.
It will feel a lot like the Africa mission areas in MGSV, but without the large open spaces between them.

MGS3 is not open world. If that is anything like the original, the map is linear and split by tiny little areas.
