I said it back then and i'll say it again now, metal gear games are best experienced on a big tv in your living room with a controller, NOT with a keyboard and mouse on a cramped computer desk
Ok... but who is forcing you to play it on PC?
MG1 and MG2SS, the games that started the series, were made for PC.
So shut up with this "Metal Gear doesn't belong on PC" nonsense.
And you can plug your PC into said big TV and play with a controller, what's your point?
1. there's no such thing as "best experienced", that's entirely subjective and up to the player, if someone wants to play it on monitor and kbm, that's gonna be their "best experience"
2. you can easily connect a tv to a pc and you can connect any controller to a pc and it will work on any game, there are no limits or restrictions on pc like consoles do

Dumbest take i've ever read.
and what, you think Kojima don't want PC players to play his games? OR that playing on PC somehow diminishes them?
I hope you are just trolling and then I guess you got me, but... meh
... did you just include Metal Gear Survive?
Take. That. Down. Now.
We don't talk about that.
And yes, we no longer see games as tied to a specific place and time. For artist like KOJIMA, gaming is a holistic experience, so not just the game as interactive simulation, but on what it is displayed, how and on what it is controlled, is a part of the experience. Recall how MGS1 for example references the contents of your PSX's memory card, how MGS3 was designed around the pressure sensitivity of pS2's controller etc... PC gaming is inimical to it and artists like KOJIMA might actually look at its effects in horror.
