No Kojima? No buy (EDIT added)

I don't think I'll give Konami money after the whole Kojima situation, I don't think making a MGS game (even if it's a "remake") could work without him.

EDIT: I have to add something since much has changed since I opened this thread.
I still think that Kojima is needed for any Metal Gear canonical game (not because Kojima is a god or the only one that made these games great, but because MG is an auteur series and Kojima is the auteur).
That said, this will be a 1:1 remake, like TLOU Part 1, so they just have to recycle most of what they already have, and the chance of messing without changing its story or gameplay is relatively low.
I also saw that KONAMI is trying to reedeem themselves and that they would like to work with Kojima again (even if I'm sure it will never happen), and that they will credit him for his work, so at least we have that.
Still I don't really like the new characters models to be honest, and I feel it looks like any uninspired UE fan-remakes of N64 games, but we'll see how this turns out; luckily we still have the Master Collection, and even if it is a lazy effort, it's a way to play the original.

The majority of the old Kojima Productions staff stayed in Konami. There are a lot of veterans from Snake Eater itself. Also Kojima wanted to let go from Metal Gear since MGS2.

I will definitely wait on reviews. I think this title really could go either way: It could be a faithful (and fun) modernization of a Kojima classic. Or, it could be an absolute pile of Spacer's Choice garbage.

There's just no way to know until the game is actually out.

Kojima is God but I'm not going to let terminal simping keep me from seeing what Konami will do with this game and keep an open mind. The more I think about it, the more I wonder about what REALLY happened in 2014 that got Kojima 'gon'd'.
