Also kind of just answered my own question by starting my second playthrough: who the game pushes you with is heavily affected by the first couple of chapters. This time it's Claudia who has a big crush on me, not Cormac, and she's the one I encountered down in the caves and shared a kiss with. I can't wait to see how that unfolds once the narrative is solidly in present day/adulthood and Claudia comes back drastically changed.
Overall, I loved the game, but the romances feel a bit underwhelming—there just aren't t enough exclusive scenes. Still, it's better than most non-romance CYOAs, where romance often feels tacked on just for the sake of inclusion.
So choose her whenever her name comes up for anything. After you meet for the first time on returning to Ireland, stay the night and convince Kitty to stay with you. You will have the option to check in on Aine later. Help her with her ritual. When the Other Woman appears always choose polite and neutral options. At the end of the first encounter where you speak with her you will get the opportunity to ask a final question before she leaves, choose Leave Aine Alone then select I Would Do Anything To Save Her. Near the end keep an eye out for a dialogue option that "I know soon the Other Woman will contact me." She will tell you what it takes to save her, accept her terms. Aine joins the team and if you pursued a relationship that will be your ending
I need help with 'This Charming Man' though, did anyone get the date with Adam? I went full Arcanum on this run but I don't think I ever saw the opportunity to go on the date - maybe I should've chosen to relax in my evening on Dublin, would the date have popped up then?
The thing is, to actually proc the achievement, you need to specifically choose the option where you go on a date and only the date with him: if you choose any of the date 'alternatives' (like seeing Tottenham's contact together with Adam, or browsing occult bookshops with Adam) the romance will start but you won't get the achievement, which is kind of annoying.
Due to how they have similar 'nerdy' personalities, Adam was probably intended as a natural replacement to players who romanced Simon at the beginning of the game, since Simon dies no matter what you do.
