(SPOILERS) Who did you romance?
Now I've just finished my first playthrough and I went in blind. I love doing that.

I had something going on with both Áine and Cormac but ultimately ended up with neither (I love how bittersweet this game is though). I'm going to try getting with them properly in future playthroughs, but I was curious about a few things:

1) Are Áine and Cormac the only true romance options? I know you can choose that you're disappointed to find out Daniel got married since you had a crush on him as teenagers, but it always felt like the game was pushing for him and Kitty to get together. Unfortunately, Kitty did not survive my game.

2) 'This Charming Man' achievement - I guess it's possible to go on a date with Adam? I'm assuming this requires allying with the Arcanum as well?

3) All right, I know you can smash Cormac, but is he the only one, or am I just going to have to rescue Áine properly this time

I don't know about Aine. I'm still trying to figure out how to save her. I hooked up with Cormac and he survived, but then the ending was Kitty hanging out in my apartment. So it was kinda a let down.
Simon at the start and then Aine by the end.

At some point in the game, early on, you'll get a choice about who to spend time with. Always choose to see Aine whenever you can. I think in your second hangout with her (I forget which chapter) you can drink psilocybin tea together as she goes to confront the Other Woman -- make a deal with the Other Woman to spare Aine at the expense of Aine's safety from the werewolves. I made the opposite deal, so Aine and I fell in love but she was taken away forever by Milucra and I was the only one left alive in the world who remembered her. The drama in this game is so delicious, I'm a wreck.

Also kind of just answered my own question by starting my second playthrough: who the game pushes you with is heavily affected by the first couple of chapters. This time it's Claudia who has a big crush on me, not Cormac, and she's the one I encountered down in the caves and shared a kiss with. I can't wait to see how that unfolds once the narrative is solidly in present day/adulthood and Claudia comes back drastically changed.

The game seemed to nudge the player toward Cormac, which makes sense since it makes for a more impactful story. I went with him first, then Àines in my second playthrough. Now, on my third run playing as a techy MC, I'm aiming for Claudia.

Overall, I loved the game, but the romances feel a bit underwhelming—there just aren't t enough exclusive scenes. Still, it's better than most non-romance CYOAs, where romance often feels tacked on just for the sake of inclusion.

So choose her whenever her name comes up for anything. After you meet for the first time on returning to Ireland, stay the night and convince Kitty to stay with you. You will have the option to check in on Aine later. Help her with her ritual. When the Other Woman appears always choose polite and neutral options. At the end of the first encounter where you speak with her you will get the opportunity to ask a final question before she leaves, choose Leave Aine Alone then select I Would Do Anything To Save Her. Near the end keep an eye out for a dialogue option that "I know soon the Other Woman will contact me." She will tell you what it takes to save her, accept her terms. Aine joins the team and if you pursued a relationship that will be your ending

Cormac. I was satisfied with the ending but wish he'd actually shown up in the epilogue. I'm raising his kid as mine. At least there's hope there that eventually he can get full control of his Garou nature (hopefully he finds a proper, healthy pack) and they can be together. I was also sort of hoping there was a chance during our hook-up that my character could've had his kid. Ah well...head-canon :P
My first (and favorite) romance was with Aine. I felt very drawn to her, I've always enjoyed enigmatic or eccentric characters. I love her to bits. I wish there was more to her romance path though, I think she's a very interesting character. However, I did try Kitty's romance path and the depth of her path is fantastic (I especially enjoy the little details of her romance when you play as a priest/nun). She is so sweet and I really admire her compassion and spirit. I have a newfound appreciation for Kitty's character after spending so much time with her. I also love Kitty to bits, but I love Aine a bit more.

I wanted to romance Kitty next - I'm SO proud of her and I'm so so glad she survived my second playthrough lol. Although... me and Claudia died one too many times and now I have to restart the entire game :steamsalty:

I need help with 'This Charming Man' though, did anyone get the date with Adam? I went full Arcanum on this run but I don't think I ever saw the opportunity to go on the date - maybe I should've chosen to relax in my evening on Dublin, would the date have popped up then?

This Charming Man: you need a very high internal score with the Arcanum, something that's only possible under specific circumstances - get into university, study werewolves whenever possible in your spare time, have as high INT and Academics score as possible, make academic conversation, let Tottenham ramble and tell Claudia to shush.... after this Adam will ask you out and you can go on a date with him later.
The thing is, to actually proc the achievement, you need to specifically choose the option where you go on a date and only the date with him: if you choose any of the date 'alternatives' (like seeing Tottenham's contact together with Adam, or browsing occult bookshops with Adam) the romance will start but you won't get the achievement, which is kind of annoying.
Due to how they have similar 'nerdy' personalities, Adam was probably intended as a natural replacement to players who romanced Simon at the beginning of the game, since Simon dies no matter what you do.
