Star Wars Galaxies

Star Wars Galaxies

SWGemu
Anybody else play the SWGemu? For anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's Star Wars Galaxies like it was right before the CU update that ruined the game. It's fully playable and there is a good sized player base and it's growing every day. If you loved this game, you should definately check it out.

Emu is entertaining; is growing in population everyday. Updates are pretty consistant. :)

Sort of if you can use your old steam install to play the SGWEMU as thats what I do all I had to do was download the new launchpad from http://www.swgemu.com/forums/index.php and set it to my steam SWG location then changed the games client .exe name from swgclient_r.exe to launchpad.exe, this way steam still picks it up as the old game so you get all the same tracking as last time.

I cant find the games client where can i find it?

Scroll to the top of this discussion and there will be a tab that says "Guides" - Click it and go to (currently) the only guide for this game, it gives step-by-step instructions for getting an SWG Emulator working through Steam.
It still tracks the game, even with the Emulator's launcher replacing launcher.exe - so, I don't recommend renaming "swgclient_r.exe"

I know this may be an old discussion but, coming across this and seeing people playing SWGEmu made me want to give a shout out to all of those players. I play somewhat daily and would like to team-up with any of yall if you wish just to chill or do stuff in-game. I also run a steam group with a Teamspeak group I am with, so if you wish to join the link is provided below.

There is no reason to miss SWG - SWGEMU (http://www.swgemu.com) is fully playable and has an active, thriving population. You can use your steam install to set up the SWGEMU launcher and be in the game in less than five minutes after you've downloaded or re-installed the SWG client from a disc or through steam.

It costs nothing. The community is extremely active, and the game you loved is waiting for you.
