Been wondering this myself i think your only chance is to get a key and they seem rarer than winning the lottery.

you need a steam key, maybe there is still some on ebay, but good luck finding it.

Yeah 0x695 is right keys are really hard to find but if you did find one that works just make sure it says steam key so it activates. your best bet is to go onto the star wars galaxies reddit page or facebook groups and ask around if anyone has a spare key and wont charge you a arm and leg for one Good Luck :)

I've never known any physical copies to include Steam keys with them. None I ever purchased anyway. Steam was never really mentioned back then. In fact I didn't learn of Steam let alone SWG having a listing on it until after the fact when it was already shut down. Pretty sure it would have been the NGE version only. It's to bad no one has any spare keys. I wouldn't mind uploading old screenshots on Steam under the title. It's fairly easy to get a copy of the game in it's original iso form online though if your looking to play on one of the emulator projects out there. Let me know if you need any help with that. At this point a Steam Key for the game would only get you a version you could download to verify ownership of it. You could just use a physical copy of the game which is still available used, but the key doesn't matter that it's already attached to someone's old SOE account. You just need the discs to install it, and a CD/DVD drive to read them. Look for a set on eBay, they shouldn't cost too much. There are a bunch of NGE servers, and a few Pre-CU servers, and one CU server. All privately run. I'm playing on SWG Resurgence, one of the newer NGE servers, with decent staff, a dedicated developer, Rare Loot System, and a few other things. Legends is the biggest server over all, it's NGE, laggy, no Rare Loot System, and staff that tend to ban first and ask questions later, if at all.

Don't even need the disks anymore. Most of the various emu's have a link so you can just download the old SWG game as it's abandonware now and found on the net.
