Do come and check out the server though, with Jump to Lightspeed all up and running you can enjoy your space adventures as well as all of the things you know from live.
Legends is NGE almost same as it was on the live server with added loot, for example the wheeler bike from Grievous drops as rare loot from NK Necrosis. But the changes add more balance to the game. Also you can get all veteran rewards, AT-RT, Barc speeder, Desert Skiff etc after 10 days of playing with the /claim command.
Then Reborn got ahold of it somehow, then SWGLegends happened...(the story is out there, you'll find it)
They're basically patching a leaky boat, made of paper mâché, that someone else made, in the middle of the ocean, that they would have been better off rebuilding from scratch...
If you're planning to play on their server, enjoy it for what it is, and have fun, when you can; but I personally would not recommend getting too invested...
What is SWG Legends? First it's an NGE Private Test Server in Alpha Stage.
Yes sorry to burst your bubble, but indeed Omega Server Emulator or not? Is in Alpha stage.
Really funny when you think about it 1200 to 1500 people play on a Test Server. Wait a minute? So do the same amount of people do the same on SWG Emu.
BRILLIANT!
Now this will blow your mind. As of March 2016 SWG Legends had to refund $1200 back on PayPal guess because of complications with their project. That is on their Facebook page.
Another fact as of their January 2018 Update SWG Legends crashed three times over the weekend causing problems for folks including for their Chat Memory, functions with the ingame inbox, and items ending up either being lost for a moment or folks losing the credits they earned.
Funny, and I could have sworn someone in December at the end of the month addressed on their forums in a ticket in regards to lag issues that dated back to November 2017.
Now with that being said is the server fun? Yes! Is the staff up to par with their server? I say 40% of the time maybe, but 60% of the time questionable. Finally the community what are they like?
Well.....that's a toughy, seems they like to make it an issue on their forums to call people heretics, blasphemers, and so on like Hipocritcal Pharasees from bibical times because if they see a "feedback or suggestion" as heresy to their perfect server? Boy do they come out fussing like xenomorphs out of the woodwork.
Oh yes, I SO pulled an "Aliens" pun there. And this is all coming from a guy that played on their server. Speaking the truth.

just the feels
Anyway I was compelled to post after reading this stuff and thinking it is misleading at best or just dated. I have no idea about source codes or what was going on in 2017. I also have nothing to do with this game short of playing it.
I am an old SWG mmo player who decided to give this a shot as I too am one of the folks that played pre CU and guided a fine guild through the trials and tribulations of the updates and fixes etc and I just prefer the NGE version after it was fixed.......... so I have given Legends a try. Been playing about 2 weeks and I am thrilled with it. No crashes, server seems to be always up and it runs, I think, better than in live. I have not run into any bugs and I've done lots of combat and crafting. Connected with some very nice people that helped me get started with resources to grind my crafters and have actually refused some help just because I want to enjoy reliving the old days. I am beyond pleasantly surprised by the performance.
One server and seems like there's usually 700-900 players on on at given time. Economy is not bad - when I was on live resources for crafters averaged 3 cpu and now they seem to be 1 cpu for grinding stuff but prices seem to go up accordingly for stats. So as a crafter I think there's fun to be had if you like selling stuff but of course its got its share of people with Bernie Sanders stickers on their speeders that say "its just a game" gimme gimme- they are like the clap in old Rome... not a worry for most people but be careful who you dance with:) But I have had ZERO negative interactions with players in this version of the game - clap or not:)
So that's it....just an old players short (not) review given with sincerity and hoping this game lives for many more years.
Later
nova is recruiting if you need a guild ;)
