But as far as Speed is concerned, I always considered it quite important because it allowed me to rush through maps. But that might be its only benefit (along with increasing Defence by 1/2).
Thanks, I did read that one earlier, I was just wondering about the omission of Dexterity, but I suppose investments in Strength will pay off eventually.
Actually, if I look at my saves I can see that these are the standard attribute caps for each class:
Paladin: STR 90, DEX 60, INT 50, CON 60, SPD 50
Thief: STR 60, DEX 90, INT 50, CON 50, SPD 60
Priest: STR 50, DEX 60, INT 100, CON 50, SPD 50
Which I translate as what each of them should invest into foremost.
Luckily, thanks to magical items and elixirs one can eventually rise above these constraints. Such as my final Priest character: STR 100, DEX 110, INT 167, CON 100, SPD 101.
