Snyder Trucking Warehouse homebase not fixing cars?
Am I doing something wrong? I have parked cars on the parking space with different damages and none of them have been fixed.

One has white smoke coming out of the engine.
Another only has a broken bumper.
Another has a missing door
Another one has black smoke coming out of the engine.

None of them have been fixed at all. There was one time where a car was fixed and it was the one where the 2 front tires where blown after getting pissed at a juggernaut for killing one of my best survivors (was helping her kill a bigun).

Am I supposed to find a mechanic? The Snyder truck warehouse comes with a prebuilt workshop and it cannot be upgraded.

Searching around, I've read that some people got their cars fixed that had worse damages. Can anyone confirm? Do I need a mechanic or is my game bugged?

Thank you.

I think the best the warehouse can do fix is body/tire damage. because the workshop is built in, it cannot be upgraded to fix engine damage.

It is random wich one of your build inrooms is upgraded, if you have fully upgraded workshop it will fix the bodywork and tires, if you have fully upgraded storage room then sadly you dont have the motorshop.
[EDIT] i think it is actually possible to be lucky enough to have both upgraded. but yah if they are not then your out of luck cause you cant upgrade the built in rooms.

Thanks for the replies.

Here's the thing though, body/tire damage means the door and the bumper should've have been fixed isn't it? But the two cars aren't fixed at all.

What type of workshop does yours have?
and are your cars actually in the proper parking spots?
One last thing they only get fixed during the night, so at the end of the night all repairs of the night are done.
I dont know if it needs materials.

They are parked facing the "Parking" sign. I have plenty of materials and they've been parked for 2 real life days now. Also, the tool tip of the workshop says that it fixes body and tires so I guess it's not the upgraded one. It's a bummer since I have no space to make another workshop. Going to have to demolish the library to make another bunk house since I want around 30 survivors.

If it's upgraded version it's name would be either machine shop or ammo shop (or something in that trand)

Sorry for the very late response. I've just been researching about what my work shop really is. From looking around online, I found out that I only have the title of "Real Workshop" on it.

It's not called Machine shop so it's understandable why it's not fixing engines. I'm still confused though on why it's not fixing cars with no doors and bumpers.

Do you think it make a difference if I found someone with "Tools Expert"?

you must have tool expert to upgrade your REAL workshop into machineshop so your ENGINE soon will be fixed. Fixing need time, so wait a while

From what I read so far. It seems the workshop on Snyder Trucking used to have a machine shop 100% of the time but they nerfed it after finding out most people choose it over the other homebases.

The built in workshop is now randomly generated to either have a fully upgraded machine shop, or just plain real workshop. Unfortunately, built in facilities can't be upgraded so I'm stuck with it.

Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I've been trying to search for the answer and it seems hard to find atm and this is what I was able to find so far.

agree, the built in workshop has upgraded to 'real workshop' but 'impossible' to upgrade it to machine shop or whatever. but have you tried to build another workshop again? it upgradable as long as you have tools expert.

Yeah I'm thinking of doing just that. It seems to be a waste of facility space though to have 2 workshops. But there's nothing one can do.

I can 100% say that the built in workshop in Snyder's Trucking warehouse can randomly turn into just a workshop or a machine shop when you first fix it.

I decided to try m luck again with the warehouse on this new playthrough and this time, it gave me a machine shop that fixes car engines, body and tires. The previous save I had only mentioned body and tires, no engines.

So yeah, it's random what workshop you will get with the warehouse.

I just did some experimenting. I left the warehouse for another residence so that I could try for the "random" machine shop.

I tried three times and never got it UNTIL I actually used my tools expert to move us to the warehouse and then upgrade the workshop. Lo and behold.... machine shop! :)
