Edged Weapons
I don't know if it's just me or what but I have a hard time finding edged weapons. I only have one survivor using edged weapons and the only ones I do find are already half broken so they don't last long. Maybe you could mix up the weapon finding by upping the edged weapon find chance and lower the blunt weapons one a bit lower. Just a suggestion.

Agreed, in most my games the weapons have probably been 70%+ blunt, and I'm yet to find a 4 quality edge weapon I think

Well to be honest, jud look around you. How many swords etc do you see compared to blunt objects like pipes, baseball bats, crowbars? Except for maybe a really big Kitchen knife i dont have that many Katanas or Boadswords in my neighbourhood.

It only makes sense that you find more blunt weapons.

Ive found many blade type weapons, maybe not as much as blunt, but i would say around 20 to 30 plus. Blunt weapons, about 70 plus. Firearms, maybe about 25.

I appreciate that it's trying to be realistic about it but this is a game. They have edged weapon specialization yet I can barely find half broken edged weapons. I don't think this is asking much.

Last game I found a good amount of Edged Weapons, sabers, a broadsword, plenty of machetes but I started a new game (loot wasn't working in the previous one), and now I found one damn machete and 2 tomahawks.

To be honest, edged weapons aren't that great. Compared to blunt they break far too often - I've seen people say you need to take two melee weapons everywhere but if you have even a middling blunt weapon you can do multiple runs before it needs repairs.

Heck a wrench, or baseball bat last a very long time. I mean i can do some loot runs, a few side missions, and some main missions before it even starts to get damaged to a point i need to place it in my box to be repaired.

Only low quality edged weapons (tomahawk, fancy machete, hatchet) break easily.
High quality edged weapons are quite sturdy. Not as sturdy as blunt or heavy but still, it takes far less swings to bring down a zombie, so overall they're kinda the same.

I found few 4 quality edged weapons around Marshall, Short Wakizashi and Falchion. They still aren't sturdy as blunt and heavy weapons and get damaged after a day or so of normal use.

If you have max skill for edged weapons it takes 1-2 swings to chop a zombie (not counting the instant decapitate move you can get at lvl 7 specialization) vs 1-4 with a blunt weapon.
The only high quality blade I found was a broadsword and that became damaged after several days of use.

Well..actually I have a ginormous knife collection in my kitchen, a katana in my bedroom and a HQMWRS (high-quality medieval weaponry replica shop) less than two blocks away.

But thats not the point, point is that the majority of all edged weapons have less than 3 durability whereas the majority of blunt/heavy weapons have 3+ durability. Another strange thing is, that there are plenty of blunt/heavy weapons with negligible weight (Wrenches/Axes) *and* max durability which makes choosing an edged weapon spec even less desirable.

ok i got 3 edged weapons and if you have a workshop leave your edged weapons in supply overnight ingame and it should repair the weapon for ya its what happens with me

This always made me wonder - It seems like Marshall has a big cosplay scene or something with all of those replica weapons everywhere. In my last game I ended up with more "movie prop" weapons than actual axes and what have you.
