Keyboard and Mouse controls not working?

I began to play State of Decay again when I turned on my computer this morning, only to find that the only functions I can perform are opening the map, TAB menu, and basic WASD movement. I have found myself unable to attack, zoom in, sprint, crouch, open doors or anything else.

I have reinstalled the game and this has not helped either. Hoping to see a fix for this at a later date :3

If you knew anything, you'd know that alot of people were able to play with keyboard and mouse, if they had a list of controls, I was one of those people.

And as poster said, today it patched and now I cannot play with keyboard and mouse. If they have intentionally decided to disable this in the latest patch so we are FORCED to buy a xbox controller or wait, then this is disgusting, and an intentional sabotage to PC gamers to say the least.

I tested it after the small patch and nothing has changed. My mouse and keyboard still work and I can still perform all the actions given with that recent keyboard guide that everyone has.

Man i'm really confused then, because i'm having the exact same issues as the OP, i've restarted the game several times etc, I can walk around scroll with the mouse etc, but i can't open doors, aim, jump etc.

Lol which if is true, is exactly how i've worded it. I've payed for their game and now they've intentionally broken it, if it's related to the patch.

They didn't intentionally break it. They patched something and your modding of the game broke.

Here's what I did:

1. Go to your state of decay\game folder.
2. Delete all FOLDERS, not files, EXCEPT the the levels folder.
3. play the game

if something broke, right-click your state of decay link in steam and go to "validate game cache". That'll redownload the levels folder.

If you want to custom-map the bindings again, just redo this guide:

DON'T download their files though. They're probably outdated. Unpack them yourself.

What do you mean by all folders? do you mean I need to copy the files out of them into the game directory? Or just delete the entire folder?

You basically have to delete the folders your modding has inserted.

My folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\State of Decay\Game

In there you find the folders entities, fonts, languages, levels, libs and scripts. Delete all folders EXCEPT levels. Don't touch the files.

I can understand the graphics, the sound, but do not enable the keyboard, they were wrong.

if you installed a mod like the radio fix, delete it. patch broke the mod and broke the game.

Mods don't delete when you uninstall, you have to do it yourself.

Deleted all folders like you said, controls now do work but it means that I can't actually edit the necessary file to make the radio work? Is there any other options?
