Storing supplies in a vehicle
Is it just me or does anyone else think it's really anoying to be on the opposite side of the map and not being able to put a bag of medicine or building materials in the trunk of a car and grab a second one before running all the way back. Or when helping another survivor and they offer you half the goods but you already have a bag of whatever and need to stop at your base first. I think it should be added in an update to allow you to utilize the trunk space in a vehicle.
I can see some people arguing that it would make the game easier but I don't think it would make a big enough difference in overall difficulty. It would just make it less annoying to make one trip vs two or more trips to a single house with 2+ bags of supplies.

There are already a ton of threads on this already dude..

I haven't noticed any but yet again I didn't dig through 100's of pages of posts to see either. Either way I thought I'd make a comment seeing as how I went through a few pages and didn't see anything.

I'm sure the devs would get pretty tired of seeing this over and over is all.
Anyway I heard that this will be a feature in future patch.

No I understand where you're coming from. I don't usually add criticism to developers or even look at disscussions unless I'm looking for resolutions to problems. Like I said I looked into a few posts with "suggestions" and didn't see anything about it so I made the post.
I hope it does make it's way into a future patch because that would make things a lot more realistic as well as making long trips less anoying.

Totally, but like the others said there are people already talking about this. So hopefully they'll add it in when the game is done.

I saw a thread like this ealier today but idk..can't find it now. Hopefully this will be added in, along with sandbox mode when they game is released.

I used the search bar and after going through like 30 of the 80 posts only like 4 mentioned this so that's why I didn't see anything before. Even though it's been said it's not like the forums are flooded with this idea. Plus, at least it's not as bad hearing this idea again as it is to hear some idiot complaining about keyboard and mouse controls/support when it was stated the game doesn't have support for that yet prior to it's early access so seeing this again can't really be that annoying.
And a sandbox mode would be a nice addition.

I came looking to say something like this :) It was such a no-brainer idea, to me, that I expected it to be in the game and came looking for how to do it. Glad others feel the same way!

Great game, and I am enjoying it loads even though it's not quite there yet for PC performance. The ability to either load up a pickup truck or stuff the trunk of a car would be wonderful. Just make it a container you interact with to open an inventory screen for the cars is all that's needed. The trucks, using the bed could preclude passengers from riding (even if it's just one rucksack of supplies, for simplicity) and work just like the car inventory.

It always irks me to find multiple sacks of whatever in a location and know that I need to risk a runnner to get there when I alreayd have a perfectly good crew, or take multiple trips to the otherwise empty location.

You could always up the noise range for cars to attract zombies as a balance. Make those long gathering runs a little more enjoyable to play, a little more challenging and rewarding to pull off, and a little more (and believe me, I hate using hte word, but it fits) 'realistic'. It's more the behavior I think a group of survivors would have, that's what you would use your remaining vehicles for, not just plowing down groups of walkers.

Exactly how I saw it. I'm not sure about making it like a storage container like you'd find at a outpost or at your base, but maybe having something similar but only having a few slots that can be used. And having different vehicles being able to hold more than others. Obviously a station wagon or truck could hold more bags in the back than a sedan. Even if a sedan could just hold one bag in the trunk and a truck being able to hold two.
And I saw elsewhere someone saying that making it possible for a zombie holding on the the back of a car to pop open the trunk or tailgate making you drop the bags (making it more challenging) and I thought that was a good idea as well.

I'm hoping for this to be added in as well. IT would really add an amazing element into the game.
