You want them to hold your pants up while you loot? JK :)
I dont mind them standing around cause they guard me while I loot, sometimes I switch to other characters following and use them to loot also.
A button to toggle options to followers would be cool though. (could walk into an area and push a button to have followers Guard, Loot or Barricade)
If i use the radio to search for a specific kind of resource why do i HAVE to go there first and THEN call in other people? Shouldn't they know there is loot there aswel?
I think the reason behind of it is for you to do a research in the building and if there a lot of items that you can't carry then you can call them. But don't forget that when you log out of the game, the game is still goes on and the other characters are scavenging the area for loot.
It would be nice to be able to search somewhere and then press a button to ask your follower to take the item or equip the item as a weapon.
If it is the second case, it is better to take with you other survivors who have a weapon on them (you can check them on your journal). Well, this is what I always do if I need some help.
It'd still be a nice feature, though!
The game is made by an indie company, like many other games recently, but it's already been out for a couple of months on xbox360.
I hope that this isn't just gonna be a straight port and when everything works they release it. Would be neat if they would add in features (Like we discussed in this thread) and then patch those into the xbox360 version aswel.
