This game have good free roam?

you dont have a time limit, but you have to keep up with supply at your base...

there are side objectives that have time limits on them " Sarah needs help at the farmhouse" for example and if you choose not to go and help she could die. Other than gathering supplies for your base you can go anywhere

Sorry for the thread hijack but could any of you(those who have played the 360 version) tell me as to whether this game still has the mechanic where you loose supplies and people when you are not playing?I heard that it was rather extreme where you could loose the majority of your accumulated supplies for not playing for a short time.Is this still the case or has it been tweaked?

I'm 7 hours in and I have not resumed my game to find any people or supplies missing.
